Considering the thirty-five 2020 free agents, I'm guessing they'll find a way to keep more than they have in the past. That may mean chopping some of 35 a year early.

I agree with you. I can see a few guys leaving a year early to make room on the roster.

Wise, Hyatt, and Westry are my top three UDFA's and guys I would definitely like to find a way to keep on the 53-man roster.

I am interested in the 4 UDFA LB’s. though I don’t know a lot about each of them, as I jave not taken the time to research yet.
But want to see them compete with Covington and March-Lillard for the 5th and 6th spots, and 7th if they keep 7 again.
ST’s obviously is the way for them to make the team.

I’ll add excitement for Guyton too. That size and 4.3 speed?! Yes please.

Some moldable traits the to be sure. And it benefitted us greatly that he was a Texas kid and lifelong Cowboys fan in signing him. I just hope his past issues are behind him. But I would expect a year on the practice squad for him and I think you'd have a better than average chance of getting him there unless he tore it up in the preseason.

If for no other reason than the healthy and financially sound roster churn, I would like to see the 3 you mention make the team.

I mean it's nearly impossible to make this case because by nature, most UDFAs never make it and in reality, most from this Cowboys class won't make it either.

I agree. I am pretty revved up on the UDFA signings. They picked up a few potential gems. There are quite few with mid draft grades. Maybe Guyton can be a Miles 2.0 but without the hammy troubles?

I think that between Guyton, Devin Smith, or Cedrick Wilson, one of them should be able to push Allen Hurns and his bloated salary off the roster.

I'm still kinda surprised that Wise and Hyatt didnt get drafted. They both played well in P5 conferences, and they tested decently at the combine.
I keep expecting to hear something about them being drug addicts or having a medical condition.

A wild guess on the seven they had on their board, based on what has been said and heard since the draft. As I say, it's a guess, so maybe don't leap on me like I'm about to introduce leprosy to the village. I have a fragile psyche.

I'd agree if it wasn't for the "Jerry Loyalty" factor. There's times I think Jerry thinks he owes guys like Hurns something. As shrewd a business guy he is, sometimes he makes me . . .

Same here. Loyal to a fault.

Jason Witten
Sean Lee
Tyrone Crawford
Now Allen Hurns (though we'll see what ultimately happens there)
