Losers always find a way to lose...

That clip raises the question.....how did Romo fare against Green Bay? As I recall, we LOST.

As I have stated earlier if Dak has 4000 yds passing and 28 TDs passing then he earns a new big contract. Im not counting his rushing yards or rushing TDs because the most important part of a QBs game is his arm.I can live with him throwing the shorter balls but I really would like to see him be a short accurate QB in the redzone. When Dallas gets down to the 10 yd line Dak either checks down to Cooper or Zeke. It would be nice to see him thread the ball into a few tight windows on slants and crossing routes IN the endzone. His efficiency on 3rd and 7+ converting is in the bottom 3rd of the league. That has to improve!
People think I hate Dak but I actually want to see him get better so the Cowboys have a chance to win a SB. At this point right now I see him as a guy that is a product of all the talent around him.

Its funny that the same people that tear apart Romos era here are the same ones that want Dak critiques to simply forgive Dak of his inadequacies and move on.

Not exactly true. I was ALWAYS a staunch Romo fan/supporter from the very first game when he replaced Bledsoe as starter. But he's gone now and that's history. Not only that, I've never tried to portray Dak as elite, or in the same category as Romo or Aikman, but neither is he as bad as some keep harping about, over and over.
We have some here who don't talk about anything except to smear Dak. That's all they talk about. As if they think we can just go out tomorrow and find an instant replacement that will please ALL the QB critics on CZ.
And no it's not necessary to forgive Dak of all his so called inadequacies, but neither is it necessary to expect Dak to win games without the help of his defense and Zeke, when they didn't expect that sort of thing from Romo and Aikman.

If Dak plays up to whatever contract he gets this year, do you truly trust him going forward? Or do you wait for the other shoe to drop just to say "I told you so"?

Because from what I read on this board almost daily, if he is anything but perfect (which no one is) yall won't trust him and will still call for Romo lol...

IMO he is better than yall say he is, and even if he is an All Pro this year yall won't trust him. Please prove me wrong.

I trust Dak to be good enough not to screw up this team. But if Zeke goes down or coop then Dak isn't good enough to beat an average NFL team.

Won't matter what Dak does, haters want him gone.
Absurd statement.

If Dak plays well the people will be happy. The problem is.... Is that Dak wants to be paid like a franchise player when it's the franchise that has to lift him up. No Zeke? He sucks. No Tyron? He sucks even more. No Amari? Replacement level player.

That's fine when he's playing for 2MM. Not fine when he's playing for 25MM. Because that 25MM is going to erode the talent around him that his limited talent needs to be successful.

Of course he would be worthy of trust at that point. My only issue with Dak is simply that he has not shown growth or even maintained his level of play as a rookie. In fact, he appears to have regressed instead. Most games he is average at best for three quarters and then turns it on in the fourth. He needs to play that way for the whole game or at least three quarters. If he has it in him, then he needs to show it more than just at the end of games. If he does, he could be an all pro. That should earn everybody’s trust.

Prescott didn't have as much success when some of his play-makers were missing. So for some fans, this is a bashing point to use against supporting Prescott.
Pretty stupid. It's a team sport and like all NFL teams, their success hinges on the team, not JUST the QB.
because he played well in important games such as the postseason, I do have faith he's the go to QB.
We'll see how this year pans out. Hopefully no one gets suspended, injured or the staff waits to replenish depth.

The clear haters keep referencing his 2nd season. Well how convenient. Why wouldn't he struggle missing players and other injured? Hello?

I'm all for improving all positions we need to, but there needs to be a realistic plan and/or option before that becomes a possibility. Just saying Prescott sucks and needs to be a back-up isn't enough.

Ahhhh, so Romo had no flaws, so he didn't need a defense and Aikman didn't need Emmitt Smith. They just did it all by themselves. That's how Romo got us to the Super Bowl.
Oh I know Dak has his share of flaws, what I didn't know was that flawless QBs grow on trees and are easily acquired by any team that wants one and whenever they need one.
Even when you don't pick till 28th in the draft.
Romo, I must of missed him in the post, you do know he doesn't play any more.

In scrolling through the top ten there are certainly a lot of swings and misses. Hope Dak proves himself worth the salary.

1. Seahawks QB Russell Wilson: $35 million
2. Packers QB Aaron Rodgers: $33.5 million
3. Falcons QB Matt Ryan: $30 million
4, Vikings QB Kirk Cousins: $28 million
5. 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo: $27.5 million
6. Lions QB Matthew Stafford: $27 million
7. Raiders QB Derek Carr: $25 million
8. Saints QB Drew Brees: $25 million
9. Colts QB Andrew Luck: $24.6 million
10. Commanders QB Alex Smith: $23.5 million

Comparing Dak to Romo and Aikman is insulting the game of Football and to all Franchise QB that ever played the game!
Compare Dak to Quincy Carter,Tim Tebow, Tyrod Taylor and Mark Sanchez that is where Dak talents at present truly are represented....
Truth hurts some people!

You do know only 1 QB is on the all-pro team right?

So you're asking, "If Dak is better than Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Patrick Mahomes, and Russell Wilson next year, will people be happy?"

That's your question?

We don't need Dak to be an All-Pro. We just need him to play consistently for 4 quarters, use the running game, and make a few plays with his legs. If our D takes another step forward, we are SB contenders.

You posting a random INT suppose to prove what? Dak didnt have an INT in the Rams playoff game last year. Zeke had 47yds on 20 carries and the defense allowed 270+ rushing yds. Thats why we lost, but go ahead put all the blame on Dak...
Yeah, Prescott played well. The LA game was on the defense.
