But they played much better under carson in 2017 than Nick, so -_o_-

People talk about how great Nick was in the super bowl, but the defense and offense were much better earlier in the season. We almost lost to the falcons in the divisional round, whereas Carson had us at 11-2 and pummeling atlanta-level mediocre teams.
Right... so was the team carrying the QB?

That’s a team stat I’ve often seen used to spin a more positive vibe on Dak.

Does that mean only Brady is greater than Dak. Lol
not spin if it's true.
Dak and wentz have the same # of Super Bowl wins as a starter...0.

You are right that QB play was pretty bad in the playoffs. Dak actually had the highest postseason QBR out of the 12 quarterbacks who participated.

http://www.espn.com/nfl/qbr/_/seasontype/3

QBR in the playoffs is more important than QBR in the regular season where those QBs are putting up crazy stats against cupcakes. Beating up cupcakes doesn't impress me that much unless something stands out about the way they play.

Dak really came to play towards the end of the year leading all the way through the playoffs. Fact. We should've beaten the Rams, but we were just a couple of plays away.

it's being done on the other side too.
the wentz myth that he is "so nuch better" is spin as well.
the next few seasons will decide it.
Of course.

Going back to the comparison with Brady. What is the intent there ? Do you really believe Dak is as great as Brady?

no...Brady is beyond category.

It is being rumored that Wentz contract extension will be at $30 mill year (same as Dak rumored #s). If that happens then the implosion can not happen soon enough with Jones running the Dallas Cowboys. Wentz is MVP type QB when healthy and Dak if everything on earth breaks right for him could make pro-bowl.

We are going to find out very shortly if Jerry & Stephan are simply incompetent and more concerned with locking up guys they like (to insane contracts) just because they toe the company line.
Good Gawd!!!! You again, damn!

Btw, you are right. They are not on the same level. One of the QBs is 23-17 (57.5%) as a starter with no snaps in the post-season and the other QB is 32-16 (66.7%) as a starter with 3 playoff starts under his belt. One QB only cost a 4th round comp pick while the other one cost his team two 1st round picks, one 2nd round pick, and a 3rd round pick (4th round picks were exchanged between the 2).
Exactly this. At this point Wentz should aspire to be Dak. Further proving the chasm is Wentz went 23-17 with an actual Super Bowl championship team. Dak went 32-16 w JG as head coach.

Wentz - If Wentz was able to stay healthy and if he produced like he did prior to getting hurt in 2017 then his salary would be much higher than $30 million a year. Right now his contract demands would have to be lowered from the $35 million a year that Wilson received because he only performed at an MVP level for 12 games in 2017 and due to his injury history.

Dak - Dallas would probably like to pay Dak around $25 million a year. However, how he performed in 2016 and the last half of 2018 has raised his stock. His rise in stock based on 2016 and the end of last year plus the current inflation of QB salaries puts his asking price around $30 million. Plus, I think the front office sees that Dak has not tapped out his potential or hit his ceiling. He is still a young player that is growing and learning under a lot of pressure.

Also, you do know that Wentz is still not practicing? This stress fracture in his back took him out of action over 5 months ago. Also, when he was in the lineup for the Eagles last year he was 5-6 as a starter. Nick Foles had to come in and salvage their season. There is no doubt in my mind that the Eagles' miss the playoffs if Wentz remained their starter last year.

As a eagles fan, I do agree with everything you wrote. I do think that they both get 30 mil. I think dak gets criticized a bit harshly and he is clutch. I love Wentz but I have no faith he will stay healthy and he really didn’t look the same last year. How is his back still healing? Crazy

I hope Wentz does great this year. **** I hope they both look good. As much as I dislike Dallas the most, the season is always a lot more fun when both teams are good. Time will tell.
