Anyone else agree with using 10 personnel as the base offense?

I believe the team runs 11 personnel the most.

11 personnel nowadays is just as good as 10 IMO. As long as you have a good tight end. Tight ends nowadays are just as much a pass catching threat as a receiver.

One issue last year was inexperienced tight ends who weren’t ready for the big show.

3 WR's, Witten, and a RB. And there is just no way that Garrett is going to go away from the TE.

WIth Amari's and Gallups good speed, should be running more 2 TE sets. extra blockers for Dak or even to open more options for Zeke. Then can always dump off to one in an emergency. They wont be able to cover everyone as teams would be smart to leave a spy on Dak

I could see this approach for certain teams, and I'd need Noah Brown in the slot to provide some blocking if Dak audibles to a run.

I see 11 personnel out there the most, but if you put in Jarwin at TE you can stress LBs vertically.

Thing is DAL has a few matchup players who aren't the main guys that can cause some problems.

Im excited to see what Moore brings to the table. If we can bring in new formations to do the same thing would be great. Not to mention be able to attack the defenses weakness. Everyone has one. Last year ourd was the interior D line. Our Lbers were able to offset this for the most part, but when given something to have to cover and get them out the middle it was WIDE open. Just ask the Rams.
They did this by running the same plays everyone runs, they just did it out of a lot of different looks.

I really do not like it because on longer pass plays Zeke would pretty much be a blocker and if a team does go man coverage even with zeke blocking there would still be one guy unaccounted for.

You'll literally never establish a run game out of 10, because there will always be an unblocked LB. Teams will just give a single-high look and fill gaps with 5 defenders, allowing 1 to run free.

It doesn't matter if it is only a 6-man box if there's only 5 blockers.

Personally I am over the 2 TE and 3 TE packages. Too predictable. Im all for spreading it out with speed. This line should be able to block just fine for Dak if its healthy.

It's literally the easiest personnel grouping to establish the run out of.

Ram's used 10 personnel more than any other team. The results? The #1 overall rushing DVOA.

Which kinda sucks because I am no longer a fan of them using that position until they get better at it. And I feel that way even with Witten coming back.

I'd rather a 4th wr or creativity with a 2nd RB on the field with Zeke(one of the guys we've drafted).

The TE is dead to me.

Only if you want to get your QB killed, just like Mike Martz did to Marc Bulger and Kurt Warner.

If the NFL turns into BYU versus San Diego State, I'm out. So mindlessly boring to watch.

I think Witten is fine. He is a good blocker, which is very important. Its what the other two young guys couldn't do even remotely correct last year.

Loved the up the middle of the field catches by the TE later in the season. Reminded me of Doug Cosbie. Hope they play Jarwin more this season.
