Psst. Hey, did you know there was this guy, he threw for, can you believe, FIFTY TDs. Now that guy, his durability is pretty important. Dak can be replaced with a mobile JUGGS machine.

He has to come from behind because the team is losing. That's not impressive. And he is NOT single handedly doing it. I see 11 men on that offense.

He's been at worst a top 15 quarterback in the league....yet he's been paid like he worst quarterback in the league. Never made any complaints. He's owed his payday.

So out of 32 quarterbacks....only 1 carries a team? That's not the standard in the NFL. And its not like Brady plays with slouches. HE happens to have the greatest coach of all time.

I agree that he has been in the area of a top 15 QB. Now, it's not accurate to say that he has always been that. However, I think that's a fair assessment of where he is at right now. As to what he has been paid like, Jerry gave Dak more money then his original contract stipulated so I don't see where he is owed anything. He was a 4th round QB, Jerry did right by him. He doesn't deserve top 5 money because he was better then what folks thought he would be. What that gets you is a job and a second contract and he's getting that. The question is still, how much right?

I think on average he has been. He was. top 10 his rookie year......top 20 his 2nd year and top 15 his 3rd year. Mind you he got screwed by crappy play calling all of these years.

His contract won't be top 5 money 3 years from now. The only reason its considered top 5 now is because its his turn to sign before Goff, Mahomes, Mayfield, etc. His contract won't even be top 10 3 or 4 years from now. We have to stop getting stuck on "top 5 money" talk.

Yes. Brady is the only one. He is the best of all time and has one of the best coaches of all time. He is the exception, Not the rule.

I don't think it should be based on what it is in 5 years. That's a poor way of doing business IMO. It should be based on what teams might pay Dak and I don't think he will get paid 30 mil by anybody, unless it's a team who is offering a short deal because they have nobody. In that situation, it's possible but it's still a bad deal to me. I think he gets offered 25-27 and I think we are the team who might do that. I think we would offer him most because we value him most.

So you think teams were desperate to sign Kirk Cousins for 28 million and Jimmy G for whatever bloated contract he got.....but you think Dak would somehow miss out and not get 30? Just not buying it.

Its not a poor way of doing business. This isn't traditional business. This is the NFL and a quarterback we are talking about here. A quarterback who is young, determine to get better and is clutch. You can't find these guys just anywhere. I know people want to paint him out to be Tim Tebow but that's not the case.

I agree. So I can't stall my team out because I'm looking for Tom Brady. Chances of it happening are slim and even he was slim because he was a 6th rounder. He wasn't even drafted to be what he became.

Honest question.......you think Brady would have multiple rings WITHOUT Belichick. Other words, I agree that Brady probably does more with limited offensive talent than any QB but can he carry the team w/o a great defense. I'm not sure he can ......
