They can make all the excuses they want. I don't mind one bit facing a weaker team because of injuries. Nobody felt sorry for our injuries or when Zeke got suspended...

In the “old days”, we didn’t stress over potential injuries. We just watched the games. Our favorite players always seemed to be there. They made a fraction of what they make now, and they seemed tougher.

You're right. I saw the Nick Bonaconte special on HBO and it's heartbreaking how he is a shell of himself. I love football and played in middle school but when I realized what it would do to me physically as a 300+ pound man I walked away. I knew that could get into college but the NFL was out of the question. And I had a few concussions and that was when they zombified you with the smelling salts and amonia. Just dumb stuff. I love football and having played it at an unforgiving position I don't begrudge players wanting to be compensated more.

.... in that one season where the league was in total chaos, one of the best players in the league was unfairly suspended for 6 games and about 1/5 of all fans likely turned off their TV's for awhile. Never a more fitting champ for a turd season than the Eagles.
