Given how this place has been lately it's going to be weird if Zeke gets extended and Dak does not.

If those are truly Dak's demands that has franchise tag and draft a QB written all over it.

Got Mike White, see what he has 1st before drafting another QB.

It is Jerry's own fault if this is true. The idea that you can't bring in another Qb to compete with Dak is absurd. What if he goes down in camp with an injury and is out for the season? Dak knows he has Jerry by the balls. He gets paid or Dallas misses the playoffs.

Rush & White are competing.

They said the agents will not come off the "highest paid player" demand, so the negotiations are stalled. They also said Zeke is much closer to being signed than Dak or Cooper.
That’s certainly good news for this season since Zeke is only one we need signed.

Before you pay him 40 million let let Zeke sit and see if Daks worth it.
Dak is 4-3 without Zeke. Let’s see how Zeke does if Dak sits for 7 games.

Something tells me Cooper Rush isn’t going 4-3 no matter what. And that something is called “reality.”

How are Ben and Skin supposed to know this? Much less how far apart he is with the team relative to where they are with Zeke and Cooper? I don't think so.
The way journalists know anything. From their sources.

No idea if they are right or not but it's not that complicated.

He's really 3-3 without Elliott.

Giving him credit for that Eagles game in 2017 when he played one series and then was out of the game is kind of bizarre.

Further if you really dive into the analysis, in some of those non-Zeke games the Cowboys won, Dak was OK. And in one case, such as the Raiders game in 2017, he was dreadful. The team won inspite of Dak that day.

So while I am no fan of Rush and think they have a backup QB problem here, acting like Dak can win without Elliott is kind of an unknown situation.

I didn’t include the Eagles game.

The 7th game I’m referring to was the 2018 regular-season finale, Cowboys-Giants. Dak had 387 Pass yds, 4 TD, 0 INT that day.

Yep, 4-3 without Zeke.

Cooper Rush has zero chance of going 4-3 in any 7-game sample size. He could have Emmitt in his prime and he still wouldn’t go 4-3.

Neither could Brandon Weeden, Matt Cassel or any other stiff we’ve trotted out there as a backup recently. Regardless of who is lining up at RB.

It’s funny how the narrative is, “Dak needs Zeke!” The opposite is MUCH more true, as it pertains to actually, you know, winning football games.

Ben and Skin on The Fan, which carries the Cowboys games, said their sources say Dak's agency is demanding he be the highest-paid player in the NFL.

They are asking for more than $36 million per year.

No thanks. Let him play for $900K this year, and if proves himself, you just saved$35 million you can scatter over the next years when you pay him $40 million pretty year.

Or, if he falls flat, you saved your franchise's cap future.
Then he needs to play like Brady, Brees, Rodgers, and win a superbowl and be a better passed than he has been to get that type of money.

Can he? It's up to him....

Cooper Rush = Matt Cassell. Exact same QB.
