He's really 3-3 without Elliott.
Giving him credit for that Eagles game in 2017 when he played one series and then was out of the game is kind of bizarre.
Further if you really dive into the analysis, in some of those non-Zeke games the Cowboys won, Dak was horrid. Such as the Raiders game in 2017.
So while I am no fan of Rush and think they have a backup QB problem here, acting like Dak can win without Elliott is kind of an unknown situation.
I didn’t include the Eagles game.
The 7th game I’m referring to was the 2018 regular-season finale, Cowboys-Giants. Dak had 387 Pass yds, 4 TD, 0 INT that day.
Yep, 4-3 without Zeke.
Cooper Rush has zero chance of going 4-3 in any 7-game sample size. He could have Emmitt in his prime and he still wouldn’t go 4-3.
Neither could Brandon Weeden, Matt Cassel or any other stiff we’ve trotted out there as a backup recently. Regardless of who is lining up at RB.
It’s funny how the narrative is, “Dak needs Zeke!” The opposite is MUCH more true, as it pertains to actually, you know, winning football games.
