Too bad. I liked typing Suave!!!!. I wish him well. I see no reason for all the venom toward him. Dude was just trying to make it as a pro athlete. Can't fault him for that. Most who try fail.

I'm going to go with absolutely false. You can't live 30 minutes outside NYC and live in a sheltered box.

Not sheltered at all and never have been.
You can’t respond accordingly so you start with the insulting style posts.

Yeh being buried on the depth chart due to nepotism and favoritism that runs rampant on this team I don't blame him.

The Cowboys have paid him over a million dollars to be in training for 3 seasons.

They paid him a 53 man roster salary when he was on the practice squad which is about 500K instead of 100K.

Now after the Cowboys paid him to be trained to play football, he get's the opportunity to go to anther team with the 3 years of training 1 year of actual NFL game experience.

There is nothing he should be complaining about.

The Cowboys have no reason to favor a UDFA (Jarwin) or 4th round pick (Schultz) over him. They likely cut him because the new guy Codey McElroy is beating him out.

Rico Gathers

Seriously? You've never heard stories about the guys that set the standard? Romo became a football junky in the later part of his career. Sean Lee is another one. Then you hear stories of the guys that are in the weight room every day of the offseason.

I listen to a lot of various podcasts during my commute and I catch various examples. It seemed the organization was disappointed with Rico and wanted him to have a better grasp for what he was doing. Negative plays were taking away from his elite size/ability.
You do realize the kid totally transformed his body and ended up being one of the better run blocking te's last season. There still has never been a play on film that shows Rico totally missed his assignment and ruined the play.

It took them long enough.

Anybody who pays any attention whatsoever knew this was a waste of time 2 years ago

He has fared better than some others...

Mark Nzeocha signed a 3 year contract with the San Francisco 49ers on March 15, 2019. The contract is worth $4.75 million with $1.25 million guaranteed at signing and a total guarantee of $1.925 million.

I liked him and really wanted to see what he could do. Glad he has an opportunity to play.

Absolutely.

If he gave as much pride and attention to football as he does his not-so-budding-rap career, he might actually still be around.

The team showed infinite faith and patience in him as a project and he did very little to capitalize.

Did not think Rico was going to make the team anyway. So do they only go with 3 TE’s for sure on the roster like they should.
Or does McElroy now automatically make the team.
Yeah with witten on the roster, they had to cut someone, glad it was rico, I gave up on him when he dropped the short pass in rams playoff game.
any 9 year old could have caught that pass.

Well in fairness I've only listened to the reports. I haven't gone back and watched all of his film. One reason for that would be I dont know his assignments in the first place.

Coaching propaganda seems like a pretty big reach. These coaches jobs are on the line. They wanted him to succeed as much as anyone. His problems were many and well documented. Like I said before I was pulling for him at one point.
