If you have any thoughts that Pollard will be able to replace Zeke.
He doesn't need to get the yards per carry that Zeke gets to keep the chain moving. The offense just needs to score without Zeke, which is happening. "Replacing" Zeke was never the objective by drafting Tony Pollard. You Zeke fans are so sensitive over the slightest suggestion another RB might be a decent placeholder during Zeke's holdout.

It's the system. Pollard = Zeke because the system. Anyone can run behind this line. Zeke is overrated.

It’s more than running behind the line. Zeke has exceptional blocking capabilities that has saved Dak from getting blown up many times.

Funny how people say this system and offensive line makes Zeke as successful as he is but also blame that the oline is mediocre when Dak has his struggles. So which is it?

You're right. But if the Cowboys can get 850-1100 yards out of Pollard as the lead back in a committee approach then the season won't be a lost cause.

I like Pollard more than I liked guys like Joseph Randle, Darren McFadden, and Christine Michael.
its not just about the yards, its blocking, catching, and being durable ..biggest is effecting defenses, no zeke they shift to effecting more of the passing game..so 900 yards by the rook is nice but hollow if we are being shut down in he passing game etc and if he whiffs blocks and gets dak hit more...theres MUCH MUCH more to zeke then carrys and yards..its why hes ELITE..he does it ALL WELL..

So, you haven't seen any Cowboys games the past 3 years? "You Zeke fans"? Come on, man, they're just going to flip a switch, change their identity and magically have a 4th round pick carry them through the season? Oh, I forgot Albert Morris is in the house, too. Fan of Zeke, indeed!

The OL is mediocre pass blocking (with Frederick back should be better). Run blocking is their strength, everyone knows that.

News for you, ill-informed. The Cowboys already have a 4th round pick carrying them through the season. His name is Dak Prescott. Have you not seen the Cowboys starting offense move the ball down the field this preseason? They are looking real good without Zeke. Scared?

no one thinks that Pollard can replace Zeke. Zeke is special. However, do we need Zeke to win a superbowl or does a RB by Committee work? do we want to handicap the cap?

They were highly inconsistent in the 6 games without him in 2017. Zeke can mask a lot of warts.

Our OL is at full strength, and Pollard has 4.38 speed. As i've said, the line will open holes for him. Weber or Morris can be used for the 3rd & short yardage if needed.

Dak will not be the same without Zeke, an undeniably elite talent. You going to make your season prediction from two preseason games? Ill informed would be appropriate term.

Paying Zeke the big bucks for blocking? Now that's fool-aid!
All we need is to go get a rb who is good at blocking. Then we won't have to pay Zeke.

Let's see how many times did Elliot put the ball on the ground. But was lucky enough to get back. Let's see how many times did Elliot slip on his ego on the goal line. Let's see affiliate can take it to the hostess season you couldn't last season to slow let's see if it continues taking himself out of games when he gets a little bit gassed. Everybody's hero. Is a knucklehead

RB by committee can certainly work, but it's not who the Cowboys are and I don't see a quality RB on the depth chart with Pollard. Who steps up and takes on the elite role for the Cowboys offense?

At the kind of money that Zeke is demanding (and how it affects how the cap is managed and talent they can or can't sign because of it) in relation to the chances he'll do something stupid and get another suspension, I'm not sure Zeke is worth it.
