Good day for Cowboys fans. Smith has clearly emerged as a leader here and is one of the best young linebackers in the league.

And it's refreshing to see Smith doesn't fancy himself as Bobby Wagner and signed a deal that helps the team in the long run.:starspin:

Are you listening Zeke? Or am I hurting your feelings?
Lol... you guys.

He also has understands the value of being associated with this brand and the money he can make. Said so in the conference. Zeke is just lost.
Man, I need to be watching this ****.

You know Zeke is just dying...

I'd rather one-too-many Jerry than sober Tommy Boy.

What’s stopping Jerry from just paying Jaylon a few million a year after he retires to he a fitness consultant or something. always wondered that.

Hate to say it, but Zeke is not lost.
He's protecting himself, right, or wrong.
You may not like how he's doing it, but he's doing it.
Dude, it’s individualistic greed - plain and simple..

He doesn’t understand or appreciate the team concept, which is sad, because you know he’d be a local hero and set up for life in Texas if he’d just be a good Cowboy.

If he won a SB in Dallas, he’d never want for anything...

He’s already made 30M - come on, bro... Sadly, it’s greed..

Paying for potential is better than paying for past performance. I'd say he's done plenty to warrant it. He's going INTO his prime where you are likely to get the best performance of his career and make his contract look like a bargain. Its why Zeke asking for a new contract should make sense. Pay him for when he is at his best, not for past performance. It's why the Cowboys should try to franchise Dak if they could instead of paying 35 million per. His prime as a QB is further into the career vs a RB or a LB
He's done nothing. He's had one good year. Don't get me wrong I'm glad he's going to be here for awhile but make no mistake this was a good faith deal on both sides. It will look like a bargain in a year or two probably but as of now? He's done nothing.

I think he has shone he is a big addition to a very good defense. And his buddy playing weak side LB makes them both better
Yeah but for only one year.

I like Jaylon’s extension more than any deal that the big three might get. Jaylon loves the Dallas Cowboys and I am glad that he will remain a Cowboy in the coming years.
I mean you should. He got paid like a top 5 linebacker. Zeke wants to be paid like the best back in the league and Dak wants top 5 money. Jaylon's is the most favorable but Jaylon's is also ridiculous when you factor how bad he was the first two years of his career.

I’d say he’d be an expert at motivational rehab, and might get handsome compensation for it...

I’d hire him on..

Disagree. He has no leverage. He’s accumulating fines and soon he’ll be missing game checks. He could sign the offer on the table, make bank and have all the opportunities afforded him by having the star on his helmet.

He’s lost.

He's not lost. He may be going down the wrong path, but he's not lost.

What are you smoking? Is there any indication Jaylon’s not already a top 5 LB?

Name your top five.

...and if I’m not mistaken, he’s never missed a game...

Why do you promote Zeke and hate on Jaylon? I don’t get it at all..
