I hate to admit it, but because it's a season opener, and an NFC East divisional foe, and we could be breaking in and working the early kinks outta the new revamped Kellen Moore offense,
it could be a surprisingly rough and much closer than expected game win outing

Plus since many are not expecting the Giants to be as imposing threat on offense without Golden Tate or a injury hampered Sheppard, with only Barkely as a real threat, could
we be caught sleepwalking and come out flat in motivation and thus play down to the level of the Giants ?
Seems like his Cowboys/Giants has always been a close one to open the season

Or they come pumped upped and play that way all game, because they have a lot to prove and Zeke is back, so they want to show everyone why he is the best and is worth the $$$.
And to shut down Barkely, so all the Barkley fan love on here vs. Zeke will be quieted. :muttley:

im thinking under 17 carries 5-6 catches..thats 20-25 and light day for him lol hype pollard really steps up and allows this..id like to see super fresh Zeke late in the year and playoffs.. no need to over do it and get 380 carries again.. the fan here who expect him to be rushing leader again and be even better arent looking at the big picture.. I say use Zeke as much as you need him rest him more, only way that works is if POLLARD isnt preseason Hype..

Some of us already know Pollard isn't preseason hype.....

He's the real deal.

You'll see.

Maybe not a better ceiling, but better than Eli right now.
He didn't come from a stellar program, but his college coach, David Cutcliffe, is supposed to be good for QB development. Interesting that he tutored the Manning brothers at Tennessee and Mississippi.

yeh, he (zeke) doesn't have anything more to prove than what he has in the last 3 years, and he definitely doesn't have to do so all in one lone game.

in fact, one post was saying Jane Slater reporting zeke could be expected to get 20- 25 touches in his first game. that does seem more excessive than what it should
be for first time back. I would expect that to be more media speculation , as zeke has had history of soft tissue hamstring tweaks in past summers (even when he didn't play preseason in 18)
so immediate physical overload could expose some issues we could easily and cautiously avoid.

All the more hoping this NYG game isn't one of those mistake prone penalty killer filled/ freak turnover games to where we have to grind and pull it out in deciding moments of the game.
( it's actually the 2nd game following vs Skins on the road i'm more concerned about)
That's a situation where we could force to use zeke more than what we have to, and hes a far established blitz-blocker than Pollard.

you're right about Barkley, .. as much attention is going to spot lighted on Dak, zeke, Kellen Moore offense, I really want our defense to slap Eli and the Giants silly all across the field and parking lot.
and quickly established the tone for the entire year.

The Giants are quiet and focused. The Cowboys have all this distraction going on.

I don't know, bros.
