Biggest difference at least right now Zeke is an every down back, gurley will need to be platooned due to his knee.

And that's true, but doesnt make Zeke any more valuable as far as winning goes.

When Gurley comes out, he has a RB come in and replace his production.
Zeke won't come out so he'll continue to be an inefficient back, whose contract doesnt allow us to put better receiving backs on the field they'll look to prove his worth.

Fixed it for you.

Another word for protection is "self preservation," so yes, it is selfish interest. Just like when you or I do something to protect ourselves. Players get paid for protection so I can see where you'd be "offended" or "outraged." Stew on, though. Lol.

Yep

I’ve never really agreed that Jimmy deserved some of the blame for his arrogance leading this team from the ashes of 1-15 to back to back World Championships. I place all of the blame on an owner who wouldn’t bow down to his greatness and just take credit for bringing him in. That would have been enough for other owners.
Jimmy Johnson has known Jerry Jones his entire adult life, stretching back to the early sixties when he and Jones attended the University of Arkansas together. Johnson was fully aware of Jones' unique personality for decades before he agreed to become the head coach of Jones' newly purchased NFL franchise. Aside from Jones, Johnson's career path before coming to Dallas was littered with brief commitments to universities and teams across the nation.

Johnson had ever right to not put up with Jones' narcissistic nonsense. However, Johnson knew who Jones was and how Jones was before he signed on the dotted line to coach the Cowboys. Johnson put up with Jones from the get-go. Johnson could have put up with Jones for several additional seasons but chose to use Jones' gift wrapped idiocy as the perfect excuse to leave Dallas.

Johnson did not need to put up with Jones one day, one month, one year. Jones did not suddenly, out-of-the-blue, presto change-o, morph into someone Johnson did not already have figured out many moons before Dallas. Johnson is a freaking psychology major with a 162 I.Q. Sure, Jones did the pushing but Johnson let him push him out the door because it suited him. Just like it always had before Dallas. Just like it always did after Dallas. If there is anything I do not blame Johnson for, it would be that he is far more intelligent than some people take him for.

I understand but the point remains Jerry wanted more credit than he was receiving. It wasn’t enough to get credit for bringing Jimmy in. Jerry’s personality doesn’t excuse his actions.

Narcissism is not an excuse. It is a personality disorder. Jones is simply who he is.

If the Cowboys dont win a SB under this contract with Zeke it will go down as the worst mistake JJ has made in his tenure as owner.

Worst mistake in history? Making the best running back the highest paid running back in a system that revolves around the efficiency of said running back? Everyone is so much in they're emotions right now. lol
