I expect to get a little heat but honest question, how much of Mahomes is special talent vs Andy Reid? Remember Reid was a playoff fixture with McNabb. I'm not sure there's a more QB friendly out there. Not taking anything away obviously from his special arm talent but it's safe to say Reid is Kellen Moore x 10. Master at scheming and creating mismatches....

guess it just depends how many of his other qb's have won runaway mvp awards while putting up record breaking numbers?

No, "to be fair", his numbers were good before. He had better numbers than both of his contemporaries before this season. People like Cowherd just wanted to keep doubting based on his draft position.

To be fair, they can sit back and say they were wrong. That's being fair.

and he's still improved considerably. there have been plenty of reasons to be skeptical of Dak along the way, despite 'the numbers'. he's really starting to put those doubts to rest.

Colin gets paid to say controversial things. But Dak did have some serious shortcomings that were exposed year 2 and the beginning of year 3. He wasn't accurate enough to hit guys in the intermediate throws to the outside, hence defenses clogging the middle of the field, and he wasn't seeing the field with anticipation. How many screens did we see on anything longer than 3rd and 8? Two INTs in the end zone last year because Dak tried the lob the ball in so he wouldn't miss. The concerns were legit.

Cooper helped but some of us at least talked about it looking like Dak was turning the corner end of last year. Dak saying as such is nice to hear because it tells me our eyes were correct. The throwing motion change though is a whole new ball game. I mean it's literally watching a different dude throw the ball.

So its not like nothing changed, Dak had two great games, and suddenly people are on the bandwagon. Dak has legit improved his game and eliminated weaknesses that made him a tier 2-3 player with some tier 1 skills. Add a legit offense and maybe some suspect defenses and he has two all world games.

I think this is the new normal and ecstatic he was able to improve because a lot of guys aren't able to do that.
