Mike Florio said yesterday that he knows (but cannot say how) that the last year of Dak's contract is part of the reason a deal has not been reached. He did not further explain why either.

hes playing while negotiating..... like EVERY OTHER QB in th ehistory of the nfl, because he knows hes gonna get paid, and paid very, very well. Boy, commendable

Yeah... he's handling it professionally. He's not complaining, he's not demanding a trade like some are...
He's playing and letting things be handled in their due course.

hey, im officially on the Dak train..... but saying he doesnt expect to be the highest paid QB in the league doesnt tell me much. Who is the highest paid? So a QB that has won a single playoff game with zero SBs has said he doesnt expect to be paid more than Rodgers is not being selfish? cmon.... Cowboys have offerd top 5 money supposedly, and he hasnt signed the deal. So tell me again how hes not being selfish? Signing a 3 or 4 year deal so you can quickly come back to get a bigger piece of the expanding cap is being a team player????????????????????

Good for him if that happens but even he said according to the sideline reporter in the Washington game, he should not be the highest paid qb since he has not won a Super Bowl. I hope he does this year and more afterwards. I like Dak and hope he is a Cowboys for a long time.
