6 years 189 million. 70 million guaranteed. 40million signing bonus and a lil over 13 million a year

@PAPPYDOG , do you still believe Dak won't get re-signed sometime this season? Do you still believe Jerry will wait until after this season?

LoL...ask Jerry man.

Personally I think he's stupid enough after 2 dog team wins and a third one coming up against the Fins to think Dak is top 5 QB material but then again who knows the smart play is to wait as the tag is always the option.

I'd go get Ramsey as Dak might just need the Ravens 2000 defense to win the Superbowl.

All of Dak flaws have been forgotten here after these early easy wins but reality has a way of coming back at you fast.....lets hope in Dak's case his possible growth is true which in the end is a win win for all!

I will grab a crossword while you figure this whole situation out. After you come out of the lab we both can go over your fantastic yet stupendous findings.

ive been a HUGE Dak skeptic since day 1, but I dont care who you play in the NFL, Dak is playing great. I personally dont see why we would do the deal before at least 8 games into this season, but I honestly cant complain at this point, no matter what they do with Dak.

Have you seen the schedule? Its a lot of potential petty wins on there. Year in and out there's really about 10 or less good teams and you will probably face 3 or 4 of them a year.........

Sheldon cooper factoid.......Stephen should have said rarefied air. But sooner or later the deal will get done.

This reminds me of summer vacations when I was a kid and asked that famous question - are we there yet?

Yes son we're pretty close!

We're closer than yesterday. We'll be closer tomorrow.

Did I miss something ? Where is there a quote saying the deal is close ? Last week it was imminent ? Then not ... now it’s rare air and that means close ...
wake me up when it’s done

Dak wants a certain high dollar amount in a shorter contract while the FO is willing to pay a certain amount in a longer contract. Look for the compromise to be Dak's dollar amount at the FO's longer contract timeframe. This will result in a total dollar amount that is in rare air... something like an 8 yr extension of $250M with $125M guaranteed. That sounds outrageous but over the course of the next 9 years that averages to be less than $28M per season.

I know Dak is playing well but I have this bad feeling that if he signs a huge deal, the pressure from the fan base and the national media to meet the demands of the contract will have an adverse effect on him. Getting paid like a top tier QB might make him feel as if he owes it to everybody to deliver a championship and anything short of that constitutes failure. The pressure on an NFL QB to succeed is suffocating under normal circumstances. To be the Cowboys QB getting 35 to 40 million can magnify that tenfold. A teams’ window of opportunity is only open for a short time, and the Dallas window is about as open right now as it’s gonna get. The contract at this point in time is only gonna make this years quest that much tougher. That being said, I guess he has earned it.

I worked with my oldest daughter in a professional setting.... she couldnt exactly call me "Dad."

My old bosses kids were never allowed to call their parents mom or dad even as children.

Heck they even had to have their bedrooms 5-S’d
