Apparently, you just read the thread title and didn't bother hearing Persons' words. He never did guarantee a victory. He just expressed confidence in his team just like he believes Jason Garrett is doing. No ballsy act at all, just doing what every coach should be doing, expressing confidence in his team.

Then tries to walk it back. If I were coaching against Garrett I'd guarantee a win and go to Vegas and put money on it. Wonder does he do this against any other coach. Garrett is becoming an embarrassment. Think this happens to Jimmy or Tom Landry? No one respects this guy but his owner.

Our guys could come in and fool them as I hope for. Let the She-Gals have all the confidence and Bravado that they want leading up to the game. No, every coach does not guarantee or even promise a win. Coaches are very meticulous about giving other teams bulletin board material. Bill Belichick talks up even the worst team because he doesn't want his team to be overconfident.
The fact that Pederson is willing to be so public about a victory is telling.

This response by Garrett will definitely scare the H E double hickey sticks out of the dirty birds. I'm sure they're all afraid to get on the plane to get here. Pederson is worrying if he will have to eat his words. ...........................................Naaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!! Not even!! They're actually all laughing at us! :clap:
