I'm half and half on the throw honestly.

I liked it because it was risky. Aggressive. I like it when he makes throws like that because it shows his confidence. He also fit it in a tight window.

However, it was almost picked off. Put a good CB there and it would've been picked off. It was almost too risky of a throw...
Gallup should get 80% of the credit for getting low and making the play, but none of that would have happened had Dak not made the risky throw in the first place...

Coop was clearing that side out for Gallup which almost didn't work since Dak changed the play at the last second.

Sounded like a moron diagnosing a play. Zeke was lined up outside as a receiver. When he saw the lb free he considered blocking him but realized he couldn't and continued his route. There was no confusion. The end result of the play was a td. I'll take that all day long.

Before Gallup even touched the ball..

1. Dak called an audible after reading the defense.

2..Dak threw a pass over an elite outstretched athlete into a tight space. If Dak leads Gallup the bailing DB has a better play on ball and Gallup...

Dak threw Gallup Open!!! If anything it was Dak 70% and Gallup an amazing 30% credit split...

And that is why most of us want JG gone. Pathetic!

Zeke standing there is probably the only reason Dak didn't get killed, 51 thought it might be a screen to Zeke.

I think that Elliott as soon as he saw that no one was blocking that defender decided he better stay there as an outlet. It looks like he thought about trying to block the defende3r, but then thought better of it, which did cause the defender to hesitate.

Collins goofed
Zeke goofed
Either Amari or Gallup goofed

how does this happen 8 weeks into the season?

I don't think Zeke goofed. Collins definitely appears to have had the play wrong. I'm not sure why we have Cooper and Gallup running together, if that was a design or just a foul-up.

I think Elliott was lined up for a possible screen. My problem with Baldinger is his not having a clue why the linebacker stopped.

The linebacker's key was Elliott. His assignment was likely to rush Prescott if Elliott ran a route since New York was in zone coverage with the blitz coming from his side. However, Elliott stopped and turned inside. which indicated a possible quick screen. The linebacker stopped to take away the screen pass.

What in the world are you talking about? It was a successful play. There are real arguments about Garrett, but this isn't remotely one of them.
Players didn’t know the play on a key red zone possession. That’s on everyone, but the buck stops with JG. IMO.

Who's responsibility is it to communicate the play to the team? The fact that multiple players didn't know what was going on kinda says something about something.

Nice job by all making chicken salad out of chicken poo though.

Do you really think that the play was designed to be run like that?

It is clearly symbolic of all the other mental mistakes that have plagued this team since JG took over.

It isn't preseason or week 1, it is game 8, coming off a bye week and at least 3 players are totally confused about what is going on.
