First off, way to early to be coining him "Dimes", but the ESPN announcer was already referring to him as that.

What did you think of him as a QB?

Dallas dline and linebackers really brought the pressure last night. Hit him and knocked him around regularly. Woods laid Jones out when he was "blocking." Even took it easy on him with the hit.

There was a couple of times where the camera was on him when he was on the sidelines and he looked straight up sad.

I don't think he will have the mental toughness to survive in this league, especially if he doesn't learn to protect the football. 8 or 9 fumbles lost already.
gonna be good and a thorn in our sides in coming years

I think he throws a very crisp, accurate ball. Being coined "dimes" from pre season play is just laughable. Very long way to go before I see him as a legit threat.

I wish TB would have drafted him. Stupid Bucs. Winston in his final year and the Bucs pass on him to take a LB. Good luck with finding a QB next year Arians.

That throw he did to Tate is what he’s been doing a lot of this year so far. Other than that he’s been ok.

Thing with quarterbacks is once you have a poor habit even if you fix it it somtimes comes back to bite you. Unless something changes dramatically it’s kind of part of the dna. Like dak.. he’s improved his throwing motion but it isn’t always perfect. The turnover thing is a problem for jones.

the other issue for the giants is this. By the time they actually fix the online. There going to have to pay Barkley and or jones. So who knows if that goes against them as well.

He looked like a Rookie QB playing a pretty good Defensive Unit.

He seems like a good guy. Deceptively athletic. One of my good friends is a big Duke fan and he hyped him up for a couple of years. Always told me Duke's receivers were terrible and Daniel Jones put the ball in good spots. He has some room to improve for sure as far as decision making goes, also definitely tries to do too much, but I think he'll have a good career.

During his stay at Duke, he had games that he dominated, but there were times that he spit the bit. That same pattern has followed him to the NFL. I think coaching should clean up the turnovers, and opposing defensive players, will clean up the lead blocking.

He’s solid. He’s better than Eli at this point. But I don’t think he’d be as good as Eli in his prime or maybe they’ll even out. Even though I don’t think Eli was that good to begin with. He’s no Dak though.
I think Eli throws the ball better. He lit us up pretty good opening night.

Looked like he was one hit away from spitting wooden nickles.

Boy needs to be schooled in risk vs reward and a summer camp on ball security

He throws a nice ball, and is pretty athletic. Right now his decision making is poor, but that should get better with time.
He physically looks like Eli, but his talent reminds me a bit of Carson Wentz. Like Wentz he is going to find himself on the sidelines quite a bit if he doesn’t learn to protect himself and get rid of the ball quicker.

As one Giants fan in the "Trolling the Nation" thread said, "He's got too much Eli in him."

He's got a lot of work to do before he's an NFL caliber starting QB.
