Eliminate the stupid penalties and avoid shooting themselves in the foot would be good first steps.

If they could consistently score 34-35 points each week the defense is good enough to win a lot of ball games.

It's nice that they realize there's more to being successful than having good stats. Don't know what else to say about it.

Do it against a legit defense like the Vikings......then we should take notice.

Pretty obvious something's missing.......add this to a D stat of us being #6, we should have a min two more wins. I can't put my fingers on it but I'm guessing mistakes/penalties are playing a major role.

They need to do some full scrimmage before game to get warmed up. Bring the practice squad. Jerry can afford it.

That's just it.....this stat is average over what eight games that include Saints, Eagles, and Packers D. My point is I think the stat is fairly legit if we stop being our worst enemy.

lol thats not saying much about the defense maybe if you changed it to if the cowboys could score 28 points every game our d is good enough too win.. we lost 3 games by a total of 11 points , 2 2 point losses and a 7 point loss..

I know 28 would have won 2 of them, not the GB game but that was about Offensive TOs, not the d..

Turnovers might be the bigger thing, not sure.

I hate stats, but in this case it's at least positive news that the offense racked up the #1 stats against their crap schedule versus the alternative of not having the #1 stats against that crap schedule,,,

I guess but they're 5-3 after that cream puff first half schedule so I couldn't possibly care less about stats like this.
