The praise Dak is receiving for that game is ridiculous

I heard that on the radio today... small sample size ultimately. At the end of the day they scored 24 points. Average, no matter how you spin it.
There was nothing average about how the offense got the 24 points.

2019 averages

12.2 passing first downs
5.9 rushing first downs
6.1 air yards per completion
4.3 yards per rush
238.5 passing yards
111.2 rushing yards

last night
22 passing first downs
0 rushing first downs
10.9 air yards per completion
2.3 yards per rush
397 passing yards
50 rushing yards

I mean that’s nice but, so? You can find a weird build-a-fact about every game. Yes it’s odd that they didn’t have a single rushing first down. If they had one or two would that have made it any better? They scored 24 points... that’s average. But by all means keep spinning.

So Dallas wins if they hold freaking Captain Kirk to league average scoring? The praise and criticism is ridiculous and over the top every week in here..win or loose.

The fact that we lost to the Jets told me the talent on this team isn't as good as we thought it was. Yes, I understand we had injuries. A GOOD team overcomes that. Our talent is overrated and we can't overcome our tepid coaching staff...
The Jets was a fluke loss. This team is just as talented as Anyone but when it comes to beating the best teams when coaching is involved we will fall fault.

if we had scored in the end it would have been celebrated as a great job by Moore, the outcome of the game is what makes the narrative what it is.
Yep . It’s easy second guessing after the fact playing Monday Morning QB.

Facts are we got off to another slow start and our running game was stifled. And were lucky it wasn’t 21-0. Dak made another valiant comeback that came up short.

What’s missed in the analysis I’ve read is the impact getting off to a slow start and stopping Elliott has not only on our TOP and those effects on our offensive scheme but how vulnerable it makes our defense on the field longer .

This Cowboys team is more dominating when it pounds the rock early and often getting the lead controlling TOP and forcing opponents to beat us thru the air.

Until we start winning consistently against winning teams with Daks passing game defenses will allow us to run up all the stats we want coming back from a defect and continue to make stopping Zeke the priority. Because it works.

The Vikings running backs were under valve too. They are good

So if we scored 35 and still lost with similar stats, would the narrative change? Is it still an average performance then?

And is the same problem that this fanbase has when it comes to detail and accuracy.

The Vikings are a team that is doing well this year and we lost to them. Dak had a net positive game.

That the Vikings are 7-3 does not mean that they have a good pass defense. They are middle of the pack in Pass defense with an average rating of 93.5. Conversely, they are 7th in the league in yards allowed the run.

This team hasn't defeated a single team with a pass defense rating under 91.7 (Eagles). That should stand out to us given that of our remaining opponents only the Eagles, Lions, and Commanders have a 91.7 defense QB rating or higher. The Rams, the Bears, the Bills, and the Patriots are going to be more interesting games for Dak.

Just like I wasn't buying the fool's gold that this team was good after beating... checks my notes: The Giants, Commanders, and Dolphins... I'm not buying the fool's gold on Dak, having success against a team that wasn't great against the pass and dared him to pass.

The worst thing about this 5-4 run is that people still aren't paying attention. It's been 9 games. We've only beaten one team with a winning record. And that team barely has a winning record. That should tell you something. We've had an unbelievably easy schedule this year and this team isn't 7-2 or 8-1, it's 5-4. That should tell you something.

You keep on saying it should tell you something, and this post absolutely tells me something.

If you don't think Dak deserves high praise after that game then you shouldn't comment on football. Very simple.

BTW the Vikes are 9th in passing defense DVOA.

for me it comes down to our advantages. Where are we truly better than anyone else at? We have had some flashes but overall we are not moving together 100%. One thing is certain though and thats we are often at a disadvantage in coaching. And the decisions that make or break a game, even in light of the fact that players are the ones who make it happen, Garrett has never been a reason why we have won a game.

I agree. If even one of the 2 balls that Dak threw right into the hands of a Vikings DB was caught the narrative would be that Dak needs to quit making so many mistakes. His 9 picks are 4th most in the league.

I think overall Dak played good. But to say he played great or amazing is stupid. He is the only one that touches the ball every single play on offense. And last night the offense scored 4 less than the other team.

People want to blame the head coach for the play calling... and not blame the play caller. The QB has the ultimate say on what play is run. On the pass to Zeke Cooper was wide open.
ROFLMAO... imagine a guy named romonumberone trying to say Dak isn't very good.

He leads the league in virtually every QB metric.
He passed for 4 TDs and almost 400 yards.
It isn't his fault we could not run AT ALL.
Nor his fault that they kept trying to run Zeke with the game on the line when it was obvious they had to pass to win.
