Utter nonsense.

He may not turn out to be that great but dumping another first after his second season on another first round LB when there's so many holes on this team is just beyond stupid. Players can take time to develop...hell even established veterans have down years...it's just part of the game but to immediately discount him and go and waste valuable draft capital isn't very smart. Also we just paid Jaylon Smith...these guys both are playing for multiple years unless they're just THAT BAD and even then this coaching staff will still play them.
Not impressed with Smith or LVE, and LVEs injury concerns are not some little deal.

You say we have holes, I say the LB group is easily a major problem right now, as bad as the interior DL play for our top 2 biggest problems on this team (outside of Kicker).

Yeah, sure this team will stick it out with what they have, as they did with Roy Williams #31 and Brandon Carr after they were paid for that simple fact, even though we hurt ourselves longer than we needed to by keeping them around.

Wouldn't shock me if it's just some nagging injury.

Probably has been playing through pain most of the year.

Sit him, we got depth for once, till he can get as healthy as he can get in a season.

Great analogy

LMAO... People on here calling him injury prone.... If they took that hit, they'd still be in traction. Luckily he didn't get hurt as badly as Ryan Shazier. Hoping he gets healthy and can help this team like he did last year.

I believe this is a different injury, his Back.

Upper back/neck. Disc issue apparently.

The scary thing is, this could end his career. Depends on the nature of it.

The MRI should give a clearer picture and if surgery can resolve it.

I don't know if this is an ongoing injury or not but I do know, because I had a similar injury, that the impact he took on his head forcing his chin into his chest can result in compression of the vertebrae and nerve impingement. When it happened to me I had pain in my neck and arm for weeks and only a regimen of physical therapy and traction treatment relieved the throbbing pain I felt all the way down to my finger tips. My left arm was weak too. I could not pick up a glass of water. However, in time I felt normal again. The difference is, I was not playing football and getting my skull pushed into my chest all the time. I suspect additional contact will produce the same result. LVE has access to round the clock doctors and treatments. I am sure they can get him some relief in a couple of weeks or 3. But, the issue will be what happens if he takes another hit like that.

I have not read enough about his issue, but unless there is some other problem with his neck, like a chronic condition, I see no reason why, at his age, he cannot get back to 100% in the offseason.

From a football perspective, Lee has hid best game in years against the Giants when LVE was out before. Let's hope he does the same thing this week. BUt you know Belechick is going to figure out how to exploit LVE's absence. I am guessing a lot of short passes over the middle.

Can someone list the Dallas players who don't have back injuries?

I am completely fine with drafting his replacement in the 1st round next year based on what I've seen since the Rams game.
LVE is not the problem. The inability of Kris to coach the talent and not the system is the problem
