I'll be the first to admit I give this guy a ton of heat about his play, but lost in all the hoopla about the game yesterday, was the play of Heath. He came to play and I thought he was a positive from an otherwise negative team display. I know everybody is up in arms about the loss still but I think he deserves some credit for his performance.

true its funny when you see how the backups you wanted to replace him play and see maybe Heath was the better option..i see this with Crawford as well..not saying we dont need upgrades but the alternative options at this point arent better.

He played hard and did some nice things..that hit was great.. surprised they didnt cal it targeting even though it wasn't but given bad officiating and being the pats..meh :) I was expecting it.

The same people constantly trashing Heath (and his 1.8 million base salary) for not being Ed Reed, are the same people falling all over themselves making excuses for Dak and demanding he be paid like Brady and Brees combined

Dak has all pros littering the o line. He has Gallup, Cooper, the leagues leading rusher 2 of the past 3 years and we can't even sniff the end zone yesterday and everyone can't wait tor roll out the excuse parade

Meanwhile Heath isn't giving us 10 interceptions per year and people bag on him constantly

Shows how ridiculous Cowboys fans can be

There will never be questions about Heath heart or athletic ability. Even if not a strayer, he's a guy you want on your team. He's a football player throigh and through.

I have been highly critical of him because frankly, I still think he's just an average safety.

But he gutted it out yesterday with what looked like a bum arm/shoulder and made a couple big hits that he easily could have backed away from given the issues with his arm.

But he didn't. Props to him. But let's also not let that one game overshadow the reality that the Cowboy should upgrade the SS position this offseason.

Fans underestimate how well he plays because he's not the best at his position. Good player and he had a really good game.
