The funny thing is, we wait half the year for this?

It's funny, I've apparently become numb. I watched that beatdown they took yesterday and I wasn't even mad. Not upset, not angry, not surprised. Indifferent. Just waiting for the season to end. And a waste of ten years plus go finally end as well. That's where any shred of hope I have left comes from. Knowing this clown is going to be sent packing. Ten years too late, but sent packing nonetheless.
I'm the same way. I got mad about one loss earlier in the season but haven't had any real emotional response to what has happened since. I guess apathy sums it up best. A new coach would at least give us something new to talk about, even if it's just criticizing the hire or the job he's doing next season.

My fellow Cowboys diehards, another year has come (and essentially gone) and we endure. Yet again we have been served a buffet of bitter pills and disappointment. Worst of all, all of you, like myself, so eagerly wait for each season to get here. Hope springs eternal year after year, feeling the law of averages will allow us to finally have 'that year' once again. Only to again have to face the harsh reality that there appears to be no end in sight to the failure.

It sucks that we wait year after year to again find ourselves at this point.

I'm betting the final kick in the pills will be a meaningless 'win' in week 17 after we gack up the division to the Eagles. One that serves nothing and no one but the soon-to-be-ex-coach on his next stop. One that will do nothing but screw up draft position. Like he's done to this franchise again and again and again.

We all deserve better.
You're right we do deserve better but we'll never get it as long as Jerry Jones is owner and I told you guys 10 years ago that we will never win another Super Bowl as long as Jerry Jones is alive! Probably karma coming around to kick him in the *** for what he did to Jimmy Johnson he devastated this team when he did that they could have gone on to win five or six Super Bowls including the two they 1 or 3 they want excuse me because that was not Switzer's team that was a team that Jimmy Johnson belt and Switzer messed up what could have been the third of fourth in a row

Me personally, I don't deserve better or anything as a matter of fact because as soon as Garrett was hired I haven't spent a dime on anything Cowboys related. I haven't been to a game in the Garrett era, I haven't even allowed my self to purchase a jersey of some of my favorite players with the fear that I'm contributing to dysfunction.. This is how low things are for me thanks to Jerry.

I remember fondly back in the 90's I would stop by the 7-Eleven and purchase a copy of the Dallas Cowboys weekly the day it came out and have a sandwich at my favorite greek sub house called Cuco's over in North Richland Hills.. I remember how excited I was to have my favorite sandwich and chips and read about my team. It's really so sad that what was once such a joy for me has turned into a comedy show with error after error..

I expect nothing at this point but a wild ride at the amusement park with puking at the tail end.

Jason Garrett the premier .500 coach in the game. 8-8 almost every year, guaranteed!

Most of us didnt wait, some of us knew it was doomed in April.

Look up the defintion of insanity.

Ironically here you are. What's more insane...someone who had hope we would accomplish more so is here supporting the team. Or someone who knew we wouldn't accomplish anything yet is here telling posters they are insane for being here rooting on the Cowboys.

Here is a better example. Tell me who is more of an idiot in this scenario.

Todd got on a flight hoping for the best. The Plane crashed and Tom died.

Steve got on the same flight and the night before Jesus came down and told him his plane was going to crash and he was going to die. Steve got on the plane and while the plane was going down Steve yelled at everyone "HA! I knew this plane was going down'! The plane crashed and Steve died.

You can tell yourself whatever you'd like. As will I. When I pay for something, I feel I'm owed something. I guess you just burn your money.

Maybe you should report the team to the Better Business Bureau.

Why do we deserve better?

I don't know about this "We" stuff. Or "YOU" for that matter.

But "I" definitely deserve better.

So the point of the thread is that nothing sucks as bad as winning your Division. And nothing is better than firing your coach after a season where they won a playoff game.

You know what is just awesome? Paypalling me everything in your checking account.
o_O

Its entertainment.

None of us deserve anything.
Please don't speak for me, nor other fans.

Was yesterday entertaining to you?
Sure was. The Saints clawed out a W. :p

The Jerry Jones era

What makes matters worse, is I can see him hiring another puppet coach and the cycle continuing :(
Exactly what im afraid will happen. And the salesman will convince most of the fanbase that this new "puppet" HC will be the answer.

At this point I'd prefer seeing the eagles take the division and see them get throttled in the playoffs if we could get a high enough draft pick to snag Kinlaw. But then theyll probably take a 3rd round corner with the pick so f###it!

Garrett will ‘win’ that last meaningless week 17 game in his final attempt to put self preservation ahead of the team’s best interests.
