Im a big Romo fan too, but Aikman was the man. He was scary accurate and elevated his play in big games. Completely different league now. Recently watched a youtube vid of the Cowboys vs the Eagles in I think 93, Cowboys opening drive. Cowboys went right down the field, but the defense was nothing like it is today. There would be at least 6 personal fouls called on the Eagles on that drive if that happened today. It was stifling and the boys punched them right in the mouth.

The league wants shootouts and lots of points scored these days, hence the defensive rule changes.
