WOULDNT BE SHOCKED IF ITS RICHARD,RON RIVERA OR NORV TURNER. I just cannot see the Jones family going any bigger.

I’d be in favor of McDaniels. That would at least give me the impression that we are doing things vastly different. But given Jerry’s recent comments, I doubt it.

agree. NO WAY IN HADES, can I envision Jerry or Stevie hiring a big name HC. That would mean likely big changes across the board. SCHEME, THE PLAYBOOK, ENTIRE STAFF CHANGES....the works. I just don't see it. He will likely elevate someone on staff and he will deem it " innovative" and forward thinking lol. If we go outside the staff, watch out for Ron Rivera or Norv Turner.

Biggest player disappointments were Jaylon Smith and LVE and Chido on D. ON offense, take your pick. THE Team was very uninspiring all year except MAYBE a small sample size of games.

Why not???? There's a good chance we'll have a min top 5 payroll by the times next season starts. I'm thinking just the opposite that they will try and get a top coach who can hit the ground running. One that gives them the best chance trying the get a Super Bowl from this payroll.

I would be remiss if I left out DLAW. He was a colossal failure. More interested in selling his stupid merch than winning. He learned from the best. lol

Not sure about this ......at all. Just me but I don't trust any coach coming from the Pats. Just too hard to tell what's real or if they rode Brady or Belichick coattail......
He’s wouldn’t even be on my list at all
Brady has made him and he’s not the same without Gronkowski

But like any wealthy/rich person, they do not like negative returns on investments.......to have X number player on large second year deals, you want the best coach.

I think McDaniels is self-aware and reflective enough to have learned from his previous mistakes. Problem is, I don't think Jerry possesses those qualities.

Listening to Jerry talk over the course of the season, combined with other reports here’s how I see McDaniels as the top person on Jerry’s list

1) During the lead up to the first Eagles game Jerry talked about how it was important this offense had maximum flexibility and either be able to throw it 50 times or run it 50 times. That’s the staple for what McDaniels shape shifting has done with NE

2) Jerry went almost overboard when praising the NE coaches after our game. How they were in great position to succeed.

3) He said that college coaches take time to get up to speed on the NFL game whereas current NFL coaches have a feel for it. This is in line with Jerry’s mantra of urgency over the last 2 years ever since Bob McNair passed away. Jerry and Bob were close and Jerry seems to not want to have any more “development years”.

Now will he be able to get McDaniels? I doubt it. I think he’s fine staying in NE until Belichick retires. For those who think Jerry is referring to Belichick himself, what does he gain by giving up where he has all control and 6 sure wins a year in the AFC East to come down here? Yes TB12 May retire but why wouldn’t he retire with him?
You said signs point to McDaniels being the new HC then you said you doubt he will be the new HC

That's a pretty big jump to conclude Jerry thinks highly of McDaniels. McDaniels as a HC was a complete disaster. It's far more likely Jerry hires a defensive guy and keeps the offensive staff together so Dak doesn't learn a new system. Just like in the past he will cut the legs of his new HC.
Not a COMPLETE disaster.

Has everyone forgot that he won a playoff game with Tim Tebow as his QB?

What do you think Garrett’s record would be with Tebow at QB? Would they ever even get a 1st down?
