Will the Giants want to win vs Philly?

It's a serious question. I haven't heard it mentioned.

Will the Giants even WANT to beat the Eagles? Or do the Giants play for draft seeding?

If the Giants win. They could move down 3 to 4 slots in the draft.

The Giants were at the #2 draft slot before they beat the Commanders. They are now at #4.

If they beat the Eagles; the Giants draft slot could be anywhere from #6 to #8.

Thoughts?

I think they will try to win because they are at home and want to go out on a positive plus . Also IMO depends on what the league wants to happen , who they want in the playoffs that will draw the most viewers

Its always something to consider. Especially in the second half. I believe they tried to tank the Skins game. Players don't necessarily tank games but front offices do by limiting players availability. The Eagles have injuries so they will never blow anyone out.

It depends on the perspective of the owner and needs of the team. Everyone in the NFC East hate each other, so I'd guess both our game and their game should be competitive.

They answered that question last week.

Why do fans think players are out there on the field thinking about draft seeding? It's absurd.

Front offices think of draft seeding. The guys on the field are thinking about their jobs.

Backing into the playoffs this way is one thing for a middling team on the rise that is coming off a 4-win season but Dallas dropped the ball against Philly (and against a few other teams) so it is over. Dallas should go beat Washington. Dak can post a stat about never having had a losing season. Garrett can explain how he was able to rally the troops after a crushing defeat but the playoffs are done.

Of course not, stop being ridiculous on purpose.

Teams tank by not putting their best players on the field in certain situations. Maybe Barkely only gets 8-10 carries, stuff like that. You know, kinda like having your top 2 WRs sitting on the bench on the one play that decides your season, stuff like that.....oh wait, we were not tanking, were we?

Yes I absolutely think they do. The players on the Giants aren't going to lay down and get rolled over by the Eagles at home on their way to the playoffs. Historically that's not something they've been known to do.

A better question would be to ask if the Cowboys want to beat Washington.

It wont matter! The Giants would rather end the season with a win. If they didnt want to win they would of lost to the Commanders to secure Chase Young.

The Giant quarterback is improving and will want to go out in a way that excites fans far more than tanking the game to move up a notch in the draft.

Winning is something that has to be cultivated. Jones has thrown for 4 or more TD's in three of his last six games. Four times in the last seven games would really help to sell tickets in 2020. They want to win this game.

The Giants just a week ago were in great shape to draft the best player in the draft in Chase Young. They can kiss any hopes of drafting him if they win this week. I'm sure the players want to win, but I bet there are plenty of fans wishing for a loss this week.

This is like a playoff game for the Giants as well. The fans at the stadium will be fired up if they can knock the Eagles out of the playoffs. I think the Giants win to be honest.

I’ve said all week I think the Giants win. Jones looked great last week and they don’t seem to care about draft spot. Sucks if JG survives but...

Only way I see them changing the program is if Philly comes out fired up and gets a big lead early. Then I can see them pulling guys. Also Eagles aren’t just going in like they’ll win..not if this post game video is any indication
