I think Philly has the momentum. We owned the division all year and when it mattered the most we end up 2nd.

I think they will try to win because they are at home and want to go out on a positive plus . Also IMO depends on what the league wants to happen , who they want in the playoffs that will draw the most viewers
It doesn't work like that . If the league was rigging the games to draw the most viewers, the Cowboys would be the biggest beneficiary of it.

Does it really matter if the Giants want to win if we dont play good enough to beat Washington? Anyone who really is interested in the playoffs here should before worried about our own team before we go looking for help elsewhere.

It's a serious question. I haven't heard it mentioned.

Will the Giants even WANT to beat the Eagles? Or do the Giants play for draft seeding?

If the Giants win. They could move down 3 to 4 slots in the draft.

The Giants were at the #2 draft slot before they beat the Commanders. They are now at #4.

If they beat the Eagles; the Giants draft slot could be anywhere from #6 to #8.

Thoughts?
The players don't give a damn about draft position. In fact it's more favorable to them if they win and do move down in the draft.

The Cowboys will probably look like world beaters again destroying the Commanders, but it won't matter because after trailing the Giants 59:57 the eagles will win on a walk off fg, of course.
In truth, losing out on yet another win and in scenario last Sunday was the biggest win in years if Garrett is finally released Monday.

I'm hoping the Giants and Commanders win. It will drive the final nail in the Cowboys coffin and give them a better draft slot And possibly keep Chase Young and Andrew Thomas out of the division .

Of course not, stop being ridiculous on purpose.

Teams tank by not putting their best players on the field in certain situations. Maybe Barkely only gets 8-10 carries, stuff like that. You know, kinda like having your top 2 WRs sitting on the bench on the one play that decides your season, stuff like that.....oh wait, we were not tanking, were we?

This is not that kind of situation.
1) The Gmen HATE and will NEVER lay down for the Eagles. Not in a million years would they do that... and
2) Jake was not being ridiculous, he was absolutely correct - It is absurd to think that Pro players in their current season with existing contracts would be thinking about draft day placement to move up several spots just for tanking a game. People who play sports don't think that way about something so trivial to them. Makes no sense. Jake is right... Guys on the field are thinking of their jobs. Not laying down for a hated rival so the front office can get a better draft pick?!

They answered that question last week.

Why do fans think players are out there on the field thinking about draft seeding? It's absurd.

Front offices think of draft seeding. The guys on the field are thinking about their jobs.

He's probably got Barkley in his office right now telling him how many times to fumble.
As well as working on who he is gonna have suspended for the beginning of the 2020 season....Goodell is anxiously awaiting his instructions from the real commissioner

Everyone gets a "like". Good discussions and debates. Thanks!

The Cowboys wouldn't even be in this position if they made a change with the kicker early in the season. That is what I wanted.

Our record would be entirely different with a kicker change early on. The kicker and a FB are the 2 most underrated positions in the NFL.

Anyway, thanks for the discussion. If Dallas "backs" into the playoffs. Very simple changes can be made which can be effective for the Cowboys. If they do I'll bring a few things up.

Of course the dumb conspiracy theories come up. Giants will try to win, they already took the Eagles to OT and beat Washington. If they were trying to screw the Cowboys they would have never gone to OT with them 2 weeks ago. Shurmur is also coaching for job.

One consideration is that both the Cowboys AND Eagles lose. Poetic justice for the NFC East
