If Jerry hires Garrett as a GM or puts him into the front office than its nothing more than rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

The Cowboys needs to severe ties with Garrett and his family once and for all. This is about the future of this franchise and if Jerry doesn't understand that than he will be in for a lot of fans that will spit on his grave when he meets his maker.

Im hearing from multiple sources that Jerry himself will be taking over the HC position. Stephen will become the OC, Jerry Jr. to become DC. and Charlotte will be hired as GM.

What are the chances that Garrett is negotiating to remain with the team in some capacity? To gracefully retire as head coach and assume a position in the front office? It would certainly allow Jerry to sleep easier.

You must be a joy to be around for the Holidays.

and you'd fit right in kemosabe, considering my post is merely a cliff notes version of most of your 55,000+ posts here

but you already knew that and are merely grabbing the low hanging fruit from the suckers who mistake your tone in order to accumulate more "likes"

well played

More likely Jerry is trying to create a position for Garrett; I doubt Jason even needs to ask. A consultant to a consultant, or something like that.

Jason Garrett and Jerry Jones spoke to the players in a brief team meeting on Monday with the Cowboys season now over. As players went through meetings with assistant coaches, the medical staff and equipment staff, Garrett and Jones started their meeting about the coach’s future. Garrett’s contract expires on Jan. 14. After Sunday’s win, Jones said he had no timetable on a decision with Garrett and did not care that other teams were starting the search for a new coach.

He's being treated respectfully and being allowed to address the team.

He knows his fate at this point. Everyone does.

Geez, people complain about how Landry got let go but if Garrett gets treated respectfully, it is somehow a huge issue.

That's because he doesn't deserve it. What has he d...........nevermind.

This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for. The losses all lead up to this. Today’s the day our suffering ends. Let’s goooo :flagwave:!

The only thing different will be a new puppet HC. A couple of winning seasons. And a cry for hope. Otherwise....

Same old crap with the same old owner/GM. You really think that much will change? I am hopeful, but, also not holding my breath on it.
