Gotta agree with you. He’s a very good WR2 but I don’t think he’d be consistent as a solid WR1. Would he be worth 15-20 mil a year? Not so sure. Plus he needs to keep the dropsies in check.

Time will tell.

I haven’t seen anything from this guy that suggest he can be a true #1 if Cowboys don’t retain Cooper.

66 catches for 1,107 is pretty good man.
Not seeing why Gallup is not getting more love. He has taken a huge step this season. I also think he will only improve by having more YACs, TDs and less drops. I like what he has done.

Dude can play but is he a “roll coverage, premier corner beating, double coverage drawing, top 15 WR1”?

I don’t think so due to his lack of any elite trait. It is very difficult to be an elite WR without any elite physical traits. Marvin Harrison is the only one that comes to mind.

That being said he is one of the best WR2’s in the league and is performing his role amazingly. Can’t wait for him to get better

Gallup has really developed into a very good player
But being greedy like I am I hope he’s still the 2

He also missed a couple of games. Those stats might be around 1,300 yards 75 catches

Sounds good to me. I don't see him becoming Hopkins which was a second to Johnson in Houston.

Question for you: give up one. Dak or Amari? One will not be here soon. Both cannot be signed for the money they want. One will walk....

Why can they not sign both? What is unique about the cowboys cap situation that keeps them from signing a franchise qb and #1 WR like many other teams?

Because these other teams don't have a 50 million dollar offensive line along with highest paid RB and top 3 highest paid DE.

There eventually comes a point to where you literally cannot buy two more elite contracts (highest paid RB, 50 million dollar o-line, top 3 highest paid DE....... ). Especially in this scenario where the two players in question are 2 of the top 5 most expensive positions and your losing almost 25 players this upcoming off-season

The cowboys have $135M committed in 2020. The 2020 salary cap is expected to be right around $200M. They most certainly can afford both. Don’t let the cap monster scare you

They both can be resigned for the money they want. We have funds available. I would sign cooper and franchise Dak. Cooper turned this team around his first half a season here and played poorly the second half of the season but it seemed he was dealing with lower leg injuries.
