So is that the bar? Go 12-4 and lose in the first round?

It pretty much has been for us, which was clearly my point

you're talkin about what a terrible year Belichick and Brady and the Patriots just had, and I think it's just interesting that one of their worst years in recent memory is basically as good as we've been for a quarter century

I can tell you this, Belichick and Brady and the rest of the current Cowboys roster would absolutely have won the pathetic NFC East this year. I have no doubt in my mind about that

Stupid thread. No one wins if they come here with Jerry.
Accept it for God's sake!

That's admittedly a hurdle that has to be overcome but it's been done before. No reason it can't be done again it would take some special coach to do it

Why not the guy who's won more Super bowls than anybody else ever in history?

I just commented on a couple other threads which spurred this thought.

Brady is a Free Agent. What if we could attract Bill and Brady. Brady behind this OL ,compliment of receivers and running game could revive his career. Possibly extending it 2 or 3 more years.

And let Bill work his magic on this defense . I think we’d become instant SB contenders. Bill could become the first HC to lead two different teams to a Super Bowl championship. That could be his final stamp on the NFL.

Jerry would have to give up his control but this might be the only type of situation I could see Jerry basking in the limelight for just bringing it together while sticking it up Krafts butt. Lol

So you basically just admitted you were dead wrong on at least 3 big arguments.

Well , that’s assuming Bill and Brady would come here. Which I wouldn’t bet on. Plus , just cause we’d be considered SB contenders with them we’d still need to prove it on the field.

My basis of support for Garrett has been not believing we had much better options with Jerry.

And this would also support that a legit HOF caliber QB would make a difference as well.

So, I’m not really sure what else you’re referring to. Regardless whether you agree with my arguments or not I do always stand by them. Let’s hope you truly understand them and not just seeing them for you want to instead of my intentions.

What kind of drugs cause people to believe there is a snowball’s chance in Hell Brady and Bellichick would come to Dallas?

Part of the reason Brady is still going is he loves playing with the Patriots, and that’s why he has signed with the Pats on team friendly deals. Plus, what would he have to gain by dumping the Pats and pissing off a fan base that reveres him as much or more than any fan base has ever revered a player?

As for Bellichick, the same comment about the fan base applies, plus why would a control freak like him agree to work for Jerry?

I think Bellichick will upgrade his video equipment and get into web porn podcasting with his first episode starring Robert Kraft in a massage parlor.

I say bring in Belichick and get his opinion on what we should do at QB. Trade up in the draft, draft at our original 17 spot for QB, trade, or possibly pick up Brady. Dak is essentially Blake Bortles, so while it is an option, I doubt Belichick would keep him in win now mode.
Try and come up with a better comparison. This is ridiculous, no matter how much you dislike Dak.

Bortles career numbers: 24-49 record, 17,646 yds, 59.8% completion, 103/75 TD/INT, 80.6 QB rating
Dak career numbers: 40-24 record, 15,778 yds, 65.8% completion, 97/36 TD/INT, 97 QB rating

More likely, Brady will retire..
That's what he'll do when he decides to quit playing for the Patriots.

The only possibility of Brady going to another team is if he were forced out (cut or traded) by NE and felt he had something to prove. That doesn't seem likely.

Brady and Bellichick have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are the GOATS of the NFL . To think that they would come here and take the chance of tarnishing their legacy's working as piss boys for PT Barnum in one of the top 3 dysfunctional franchises in the league is delusional

the other side of that argument says that they are competitors

And the competitor side of them might love to prove to the world that they were one of a very few select people who could actually win in this circus atmosphere.

I"m not saying it's going to happen or even likely to happen, I'm just saying that with guys like that who thrive on showing everyone else how great they are, this would be a pretty good cherry on top of the sundae.
