I want a fresh coaching staff, I don't want any residue from Garrett left on this team.
Well I hate to say this but I'm gonna anyway. Mike McCarthy had the same problems that Jason Garrett had not being innovative enough offensively. That's why Matt Lefleur is in Green bay now. So you might want Kellen to stay maybe they learn from each other. Don't go backward if you don't have too. This is the perfect hire for Jerry he didn't want Garrett to leave so he give you Jason Garrett without the clapping

It's a bit of a myth that McCarthy doesn't run the ball. In 2013-14-15 he ran the ball a little more than league average, but then Eddie Lacy hit the wall at only 26 in 2016.

When Ryan Grant was a decent RB for a couple of seasons early in his tenure they ran the ball a decent amount too.

Mostly he goes pass happy when his running backs are trash. But he wasn't GM in Green Bay.

McCarthy like running the football. He had Green when he arrived that was a 1000 rusher and then Ryan Grant.
The myth about him liking to throw the ball started in 2010 because Grant got hurt and no one could fill the void.
McCarthy have shown (especially against the Cowboys) that he can go pass heavy if he knows it will be successful.

Who mentioned anything about him being a head coach? I said an understudy so he can become seasoned in coaching and then take over as OC.

One thing Jerry said that should resonate with many fans is that he went with Moore because he wanted new and fresh ideas and someone who is willing to take chances. Then he said that didn't turn out the way he had envisioned it. That should tell you that even Jerry is skeptical at this point. Bring in an OC that has been around a while. If Moore wants to stay, he has to become an understudy. You don't go from working in the basement of a company to being CEO without working your way up through the ranks. Garrett is proof of that.

I took CEO to mean head coach, but I've been reading a lot of people seem to think Jerry is grooming Moore to be the next head coach. So just misinterpreted what you meant.

no brainer to me,Mccarthy is temporary,if Moore continues to build or offense he is a shoe in to be our next HC .

I know I'll make some heads explode and get a ton of hate, but Moore reminds me of a young Sean Peyton and I'd hate to see another one get away.

There are also elements of what he was doing that McCarthy liked - and he said as much.

He'd still have a voice in Dalllas, even if he's not calling plays.
If McCarthy does not work out, your looking at the new HC.

You must of been living under a rock this year
You are blind and a Dak homer. Get out your participation trophies and enjoy them if you ever played any pee wee sports. I’d bet you were 2nd chair in the band.

But tell us if he stays, does he get to call the plays? This is what I expected, but with MM doing the play calls.
I'm pretty sure that McCarthy is on record of saying he would never give up those duties again.

When Kellen realizes he will have to recruit high school players real hard starting with high school sophomores and juniors, learning how to social media with them, flying in and out of airports all over the country and driving rent cars down all kinds of roads to sit in a recruits living room trying to convince him to go to Washington, and then trying to hold off the Oregons, USCs, et al from flipping his recruit of 3 years, and then dealing with the public relations with the big money cigars.... he might realize staying in the pros is an easier gig.

And he's learning what it really takes to become an NFL HC and be successful by staying in the NFL.... College its glory then potentially no Cigar unless you are HC at one of the powerhouses....

Stay and learn in the pros. He will get HC job offers in a few years.

He should leave for sure. Go get experience elsewhere. McCarthy is here for 5 years unless he is a complete flop and if he's successful, it may be 5-10 years.

Moore may have potential but just doesn't fit timing-wise. If he looks like a great HC prospect and the job is available in 5+ years then we'll see.

Rodgers said McCarthy has a low football IQ. Kellen has a high football IQ. Maybe they'd fit well together.

I have a feeling Moore will be a head coach within five years. He just needs to decide if he wants to be one at the college or NFL level.
