Yep and some seem to think that Zeke should forego his own safety and well being for the sake of the team because he got paid. I have seen Zeke take some big hits that would have concussed most guys. He takes a beating out there and should be recognized for it.
true no one is faultless this season but the zeke hate has grown toresome..

the only reason it looked worse is Pollard fumbled and brought attention to it or when a play failed without him , it made it seem worse..

So Emmitt was only a top 5 back of all time because he played with Troy and Irvin? Thinking that is moronic. I will also say the league rules have opened up big time to help offensive players make big plays. That was not the case when 22 played. Not seeing the difference is really moronic. Are you a moron or just being moronical when it comes to Zeke?
no no..not was I was saying ..I was attempting to add o to your point..I didn't do a very good job...I agree 100% with what you were saying...I was trying to add on to your point in comparing our WR now vs Mike and our QB now vs Troy...

I think the biggest problem is figuring out how to work Pollard in organically rather then when Zeke is tapping out. Maybe if Pollard got more run throughout the game Zeke wouldn't be pulling himself so often. There are many times when we really need him out there and hes on the bench. Then there are times when hes struggling and Pollard cant get a rep. It was maddening to watch.
A little off topic but I think Pollard is going to thrive in this system.

I hope that's not the way it works with McCarthy. Players shouldn't be calling the shots.
That's the way it works with certain players but certainly not all players. Zeke is just that important that they cater to him like that. He can show up to Training Camp whenever he wants or not at all.

Exactly, have a game plan around his breaks. If there's a critical 3rd down
Yea Zeke pulling himself out every other play screams accountability by Brown. No wonder the players like him.

Get rid of him yesterday please.

I posted this separately, but do you know how many touches and snaps Zeke played vs other RBs in the league? I felt the same way as you, and for some reason it did feel like he was pulling himself out a lot more vs other backs. I think the difference is Garrett and Moore just let Elliott tell them when to pull him out vs coaches that have a game plan on when he needs a rest. Probably the reason too why the use of Pollard wasn't consistent. Not saying Zeke can't further improve his conditioning, but don't think it's nearly as bad as we all think. That's coming from someone who has posted on his perceived lack of conditioning before.

To answer my earlier question, only Christian McCaffery played more snaps and had more touches in 2019 than Zeke.

It almost makes me wonder if Sanjay was the reason that Devin Smith was inexplicably absent for almost the entire season while healthy.
I doubt firing him has anything to do with something that specific. It's probably just that it's customary for a new head coach to assemble his own staff and McCarthy wants someone he is more familiar with.

Very true, Zeke was a beast with his workload and running style. It has to take a toll. We just need a coaching staff that has a feel for the flow of the game and knows when to work Pollard in and give Zeke rest. Most people (myself included) get miffed with Zeke pulling himself because its often at the very inopportune times when he is needed the most. You expect a player of his caliber to demand the ball in crunch time, not waive himself off. That said our coaches failed at resting him throughout the game and its not entirely fair to blame him for needing a breather. Its even more frustrating because we have seen Pollard look fantastic. There is no reason not to have him involved early and often. Not only does he force defenses to adjust to a different running style but he can keep Zeke freshISH.

So, you hadn’t heard of...

Offensive Line Coach: Hudson Houck
Linebackers Coach: Butch Davis
Defensive Backs Coach: Dave Campo
Special Teams Coach: Joe Avezzano
Strength and Conditioning Coach: Mike Woicik

I’m sure there were more. I must be old :D
I did eventually but not immediately. Tbh. I only knew those names after the first Super Bowl winand they started writing pieces about them or as the tv analysts would talk about more. I heard about joe avezzanno first though.

Wasn't crazy about him - blew too much smoke up the players butt.

When you combine his actions during AON with Zekes apparent lack of discipline at times Brown turned off a lot of fans. His love for his guys also brought him supporters.

I like Joe Whitt Jr. His cornerbacks can intercept the ball and make plays.
