yeh , ..this doesn't need to be another " 4th and long" reality TV segment. :p

get the most qualified, experienced and active NFL WR coach that has tie-familiarity to McCarthy as possible.
this shouldn't be another good boy, country club atmosphere again .
Irvin is enjoying himself as co-host for NFL Networks and let him continue to do so.

What is the emergency in getting all these coaching staff positions filled ASAP? Relax and get a life. These positions will get filled and we should be in no rush about it. Go away on a skiing trip for a week or two and then check back in.

No, the egirls just fired their WR coach. Might be worth a look, I was impressed with he way all those young guys stepped up at the end of year when all the WR were injured

I don't want Irvin or any other former Cowboy coaching this roster..the last thing this team needs is Irvin running upstairs to Jerry Chirping...

Interesting thing about the WR coach position for McC's GB staffs... Van Pelt, Getsy, and Bennett were in that slot in his most recent 5 years.

The first two were former QBs. And Edgar Bennett, of course, was a former RB.

Sounds like McC doesn't really feel it's all that important to have a former WR in that role.

I am pretty sure Edgar Bennet was a WR coach with McCarthy early on. That is a possibility.

Why do people continue to think that great players, especially those with "intensity", will make great coaches. If anything, these players will go nuts because the players aren't as intense as they were.

I don't know what the rush is and the idea that a guy with a cushy TV job would up and leave to become a position coach. The meat of the staff is here and there's not much of the old regime left thankfully.

Jeebus ....... We finally have a coach who is filling his staff with real NFL coaches and now someone wants a 55 year old crackhead who has only ever "coached" on a reality TV show.

I swear.

He’s still under contract I believe. So they would have to let him out of his contract to make a lateral move
