We have enough cap to do whatever we want. But the Jones boys have proven to be more interested in proving they can find hidden gems from among the mediocre pile.
Yeah but they are going to let MM do his thing this season. This won't be your usually Cowboys. Free agency will be telling.

Hopefully McCarthy can convince them otherwise if a player is there.

He's been complete trash for 7 years. Jeff George and Ryan Leaf also 'looked' like pocket passers and sucked *** at football.

Can you guys just call it like it is? What is the one factor that makes a journeyman like Tannehil--a proven failure and bust in the league--somehow superior to a decent Qb like Dak? Just be straight up. Why does a guy like Tannehil get the benefit of the doubt, when Dak, who unseated an extremely good QB in his friggin' rookie season, is just inherently limited?

Tannehill isn't a "journeyman" - he was a decent to good starter for 7 years. You are now exaggerating calling him a "trash". Stop using words poorly.

Tannehill plays the position with sound fundamentals and good mechanics. Dak does not. I already told you exactly what Dak's problem is: Read his scouting report, he still has those fundamental problems. Which is why he struggles against any defense that isn't "trash".

I was the first to criticize Dak on this board lol you're going at the OG here, not one of the people who followed me after.

Lamar Jackson better win the Super Bowl this year. The league will catch up to him next year. Watch!

He is probably watching the talking heads like Nick Wright who swears Dak contract will hand cuff the team. Lots of idiots spreading the same message. We could sign Dak, Amari, and Jones if we want. Then still have cap space.
My point was longer term.

I'm watching the game so couldn't elaborate previously.

So with the front office even stating that Prescott should take a team friendly deal so that the roster can have the requisite talent around him...actually translates as meaning that it's fine to pay $40 million a season to Prescott as we could still can sign every single player we want on our current roster and one or two key players in free agency over the entirety of Prescott's contract?

Obviously not, a simple point, unless you are unable to read.
