Aaron Rodgers slipped almost out of the 1st for good reason. He was broken prospect. He sat for 3 years before playing
Supposedly was a borderline coin flip at the top of the draft between him and Alex Smith.
But by that point, people were so wary of Jeff Tedford QBs failure rate, SF chose the safe pick in Smith--which was also a reach at 1st overall.

I rely on speaking text . People that know me that the spelling slide they know it’s a necessity. I’ll explain it if you wish
No thats fine.

Im saying I didn't post at the official. At posted at different site called Cowboys-Form that was more similar to Cowboyszone.

. I’m sure. But I imagine it was multiple with us. Bar from Minnesota.
it happens to every team they lets guys slide like Tim Brady and miss out on agreat player.. lost of them..the drafts not perfect and many teams make mistakes..you cant live in the past..it happens overthinking it is a poor use of energy..

hindsight, isnt it great LOL

Sadly for Smith, getting picked over Rodgers will always be what people look at. Smith had a decent career

Nothing against Kaepernick. But the 49ers had kept Smith they may have won that Super Bowl

Players the Cowboys passed up on in the draft .I can’t help but wonder how many players are playing in the playoffs this season that we passed up on in the draft .
Every team can do this and look good and bad.

Rodgers was the Romo era. Not the Dak era.

In reality they had Romo so it made no sense to draft Rodgers. But they technically passed him up.
The domino effect would've been interesting.
In 2005, Romo was still a 3rd string QB buried on the depth chart.
But Sean Paton loved Romo and knew he was a pet of Parcells'.
  • What if Dallas took Rodgers in 2005
  • New Orleans traded for Romo in New Orleans, so he is with Payton
  • Then, most likely, New Orleans does not go trade San Diego for an injured and questionable Brees that same year

I thought we had an opportunity to get Anthony Barr and that draft. Did we have a chance for Aaron Donald also. That’s why am asking
as did other teams, is that hard to comprehend, players slid and turn out to be great..it happens..

ist easy to look back and redraft a fantasy team LOL thats not how it works..all 32 passed on Romo

im thinking he was passed up given im betting he would easily have been a 1st or second rounder in hindsight..

The killer was the Mo Claiborne draft. I screamed no!!!!! when I saw the Cowboys star appear on the screen when the rams were on the clock. I thought we maybe were trading up for Fletcher Cox but I hated the Claiborne pick. Jerry later confirmed they would've drafted Brockers and Bobby Wagner. :starspin:

There is nothing wrong with that. Its always good to have the oppositions outlook. Most of the ones we have here aren't here to troll
It didn’t take me long. To find out who has an agenda or not. Who is the troll. But most people want to talk real football

What a bizarre thread.

If the OP is genuinely not taking a jab at the Cowboys (which is certainly how it seemed based on the wording), then I truly do not understand the question-

“Which players did we pass on who are currently playing in the playoffs?”

Technically that would be EVERY player in the playoffs who was “on the board” when we made our 1st draft pick that year.

The only players who we did NOT pass on are ones who were taken before our pick, OR if there happened to be a player we did draft but then cut or traded and then ended up on one of the teams playing in the playoffs.

I think that sums it up, lol.
