If he was truly interested, he'd had an NFL job already.

I have no idea why the Browns would hire Stefanski over McDaniels especially after how inept the Vikings offense looked yesterday. But then again, it's the Browns...

I think teams either don’t like McDaniels or McDaniels just wants to stay in New England and his demands may be ridiculous for other franchises to consider.

I wouldn’t be shocked to hear Belichick is retiring.

How many jobs are left? Everyone really made it like Riley and Meyer were going to be head coaches this year.

There were some good teams like the Browns and Cowboys that would've been ideal for a coach to just come straight in and succeed. But I wonder if its more flattering to get a situation like Gruden got and you get some 10 year deal to fix a organization.

Yeah, I think it may come down to how much control McDaniels wants. Rumors last week were McDaniels to Cleveland was essentially a done deal. That he even brought his wife along. Either way, I think the Browns screwed the pooch again. That team needs someone established who has a staff in mind and the connections to make it happen. I don't think Stefanski is that guy, but I hope for their sake I'm wrong.

I think the problem is that he is not really the OC.

but yet if Bears Matt Nagy who was one of Reids' sargents too, can get Bienemy himself a sargent also have a chance shot at his own HC job as well ?

i thought Stefanski's offense reminded me much of Norv Turner offense. yes he runs the ball, yes he does push the ball downfield vertically
yes he does try to involve all skill positions in the offense, but it terms of different looks, pre-snaps formation and motion, it looks pretty simplistic.
and i wonder about his ability to adjust. everything stays the same throughout the entire game.

Pederson and Nagy can get jobs, but Bienemy can't?

Must be because he's short.

I'd like to see Chief's OC, Eric Bieniemy get a shot at some point

Maybe he doesn't interview well. I think that is what hurts some guys. We can't see it on the outside, but I am sure some of these guys are more dynamic in their presentations when they get an interview. Those guys may not always be the best coaches, but they impress those hiring.

It worked for Doug Pederson.

He's as much the OC as Doug Pederson was in KC.

Meanwhile, a 38 year old special teams coordinator and WR coach just got the Giants job.
You're dismissing the four years Pederson previously coached in Philly prior.

I don't know what the Giants are doing.
