I don't know. Our most recent 13-3 team had home field advantage throughout the playoffs, and we couldn't win one lousy playoff game. This 13-3 Packers team did.

DL definitely but honestly i have two issues with the OL one being Conners shouldnt be starting and health issues with Tyron. I feel real good with Frederick, Martin and Collins and thats where it stops.

I always thought the Packers defense was vastly overrated.
they have idea pass rush OLB at the ends, but collectively they can be had vs run and they have coverage issues vs pass.
But vs Niners their secondary wasn't even tested, because they were so soft vs run., and that included the misdirection jet sweeps

even cooper (and gallup) had one of their best games vs GB, but the untimely turnovers did us in and the lesser teams tend to beat themselves - and to add matters to it, just as GB could not stop
Aaron Jones, ..their defense could not come close to stopping Niners run game.

and once they could not make the Niners one dimensional and force Jimmy G. to beat them, .they were caught too far behind, ..more and more in a hurry up- catch up heavy pass mode and that allowed that Bosa led rush to break out and harass and beat Rodgers to a pulp. ...and when has our pass rush EVER been able to do that vs Rodgers ??

Because Marinelli wanted to contain Rodgers and not go get him.

That strategy worked 1 time.

and BTW, McCarthy's defenses was also a lackluster group that helped led to his firing as well (besides rift vs Rodgers) as McCarthy stubbornly stuck with his incumbent Dom Capers, whose unit was horrible for years.

Daks improvement or lack of same is the whole reason for the coaching change.

Garrett had been given the task to get him to the top of the QBs and with it the team.

He succeeded with Dak, but not the rest.

This was his failure but not strictly his alone.

This is nothing shameful about that, especially with Jerrah and his ego involved.

Now the team with MM's hire has reset the team direction.

Like for all of this as fans.change is a fickel partner. To predict it is just as likely to make us look like dunces as make us look like Nostradamus.

Not sure they are better or worse. Under MM they typically went into the playoffs and would lose the championship game just like they did with the new coach only difference is how they lost.
