Taco was BPA.If you take BPA you end up with Zack Martin. If not you end up with a Soft Taco. BPA is the way to go.

Absolutely. Using either BPA or Need as a standalone draft strategy is beyond foolish. When you reach you overdraft by definition. That’s a losing proposition any way you slice it.
He was mostly not considered a top talent at the time. Using hindsight doesn't make sense when looking for a draft strategy.Aaron Rodgers fell way down in the draft that year and that was not anticipated. I’m talking about moving up for a top talent that free falls for some odd reason. That’s about the only reason I would move up.
Yes. He was. That’s why he was invited and was in the green room.He was mostly not considered a top talent at the time. Using hindsight doesn't make sense when looking for a draft strategy.
1st round talent, but not top of the draft talent.Yes. He was. That’s why he was invited and was in the green room.

Taco was BPA.
No, he wasn't. Taco was mostly rated higher. TJ was rated in the 2nd round from what I saw.Actually TJ Watt was. The Cowboys screwed the pooch.
Very early on, he was rated higher. As the draft got closer, he dropped and dropped. Most had Alex Smith rated higher.I don’t think that’s accurate. They thought he was going early (which is why he was invited in the first place). His free fall was so drastic they escorted him off to the side so that he wouldn’t be under the microscope until he was drafted.
If you trade up for an impact player and hit, you look like a genius. If you miss, you get fired. There have been a lot more misses than hits from teams moving up for a QB........moving up from 27th to 10th seemed to work out pretty good for Kansas City. They gave up a 1st and a 3rd for a REAL franchise Qb

Don't be too sure about that. They do have $100 million cap space. That said, I see Coop staying for sure. Jones could be ify being his play progressed immensely which automatically raised his salary.I agree but to do this they will NEED to be aggressive in FA this year
we need 2 starting DTs, 1 (maybe 2) starting safeties and a difference making starter at TE. These players need to be difference makers not fillers
to do this, Cooper and Jones will walk and I’m fine with that
if we do this then we can let the board come to us
Hey, you quit knocking people's agenda driven stuff. It is just mean!!!!!https://www.draftsite.com/nfl/mock-draft/2017/

The first 3 I looked up all had Taco project to be drafted much higher than TJ.
I think that's really what BPA comes down to anyway, at least in the early rounds. After all, if a team already has Pat Mahomes, and when their pick comes up in the 1st round the true BPA is a QB, they aren't going to draft a QB.We're really not in the position to take the true BPA, we have to draft the BPA at a position of need.
