Yes coaching makes a difference but Dak still couldnt do what Jimmy G has done. Dak is a streaky QB who goes cold for long periods of time and thats not good. Just because Jimmy only throws 8 passes doesnt mean he cant step up and win games with his arm. He is the perfect fit for that running team. Dak is too inconsistent to be asked to hand the ball off a lot and then complete a pass for a 3rd down. Dak needs 2 throws to have a better chance at completing one for a first down.

Awesome.

Jimmy G was the main reason SF lost. He had his chance and showed why SF does not trust him to make plays at all. It says a lot when the KC defenders said on record they were happy SF decided to start passing.

Imagine Jimmy G with Garrett and this staff....:lmao2:

When you run the ball 42 times for 285 yards what does a QB need to do? Especially when the defense is playing well. The fact a quarterback isn't needed doesn't translate into him not being any good. He didn't look too bad in the game against the Saints. When they needed him to pass.

Any QB can have outlier games where they look great and put up huge numbers. Even backup spares. Does not mean he can do it consistently.

SF was the top rushing team in the NFL..........in spite of not having a top 10 rb. In any case, Jimmy G passed when he had to and was quite successful doing so. You also can't look past the fact that his best WR was a TE. Remember Dak without Cooper? Tom Brady this year? QBs need WRs who can get open.

Been saying he was similar to Matt Cassell. Won games in NE due to that system. Dude is good and short throws and play action passing tonwide open guys. Not so great at pushing the ball down field and will turn it over.

He just Qb'd an offense devoid of WR talent to the super bowl. He's better than Matt Cassel.

Nope, slightly better arm but Dak can move chains with his legs too.
Think Jimmy is more ideal for Shannys O

Uvaballa has an almost unhealthy hate for Garopollo. Not sure where it came from, but it's irrational for whatever reason.
Jimmy has his flaws but he's not Matt Cassell.

Sometimes it was great D plays that shut a QB down.
