Besides the needs of Offense/Defense prospects. The progression of young players like Jones and Barkley has been questionable at times last season. Barkley, has looked like a shell of his '18 All Pro form, due to injury, poor blocking and inexplicable play calling.

Meanwhile, Jones has looked great at times, but has struggled mightily with turnovers. On the season, Jones had 11 picks and 15 fumbles. Those tweaks must be fixed immediately for them to even be a .500 team.

and they have the 4th pick in the draft this year...that’s a lot of top draft picks in short order

I think they are going to be a contender next year for division.....I know people gonna call me crazy but that’s a lot of top tier talent

Heres the thing. If Colombo and the RB coach can truly get Barkley to run between the tackles and stop trying to break everything outside....It will be no cake walk.

Absolutely. Excellent post. Solder has regressed to bottom tier or even worse if that's possible by his last year's performance. Halapio is the absolute worst starting center in the league. So protecting the Qbs blindside AND fixing middle pressure woes(by replacing their center) is the absolute place to start. Think this ties into Barkleys sophomore slump as well. Giants o line in a nutshell, has been abysmal for 8 years running. Give Jones halfway decent protection and I believe he would do well.
Totally agree on the turnover thing. Fixing the fumbles needs to be an offseason priority as well.

Though I agree, I think the Commanders will be better. Their defense and running game will be insane. Peterson and Guice are a good one-two punch. If they draft Chase Young, that D-line will be insane. Haskins will improve. McLaurin is a great WR, and with a fresh coaching staff, they will not be a team to mess with.
NFCE will be a tough division next year.
An improved Haskins will be avg at best. Their DL is already the strength of their team. They'd be better off adding some WR, LB, DB that can actually play.

Until they get the offense of line squared away defense of backfield. There not I contending for anything in my opinion. But again this is the NFC East

Maybe better, but this is still ultimately a 2 team division - Philly and Dallas.

Having Garrett as OC should be enough to derail them
Having Garrett and a bunch of his loyalists will definitely be an issue. I would not expect success.

It works far better for Garrett's long game to have failure first and get Judge out of the way.

Once Judge gets the Wade Phillips treatment, then you can talk about their future prospects.

why would I be afraid of Jones?

Barkley is a great back, but he is as likely to lose 10 yards on a run than go for 6

I agree, the Giants and Commanders are going to be a lot tougher next year. But it depends on what the Giants do in free agency and the draft. I think the Giants should fix that offensive line. But they have problems in the secondary too. Jones will be better than he was last year, I am just not sure it will be good enough to win a division yet. Again, it depends on whether they fix that offensive line. I think they will draft an offensive tackle. They need one badly. Solder sucks. If they get that line fixed so they can protect Jones and open holes for Barkley and draft a decent WR they could be very good. I have been saying and I still believe they will make a play for Byron Jones. With Garrett as coach there now, I believe it even more firmly. The Giants hurt Dallas and help themselves by signing Jones.

The Commanders will be getting a lot of injured guys back. That has to help them, plus they will get Chase Young to play alongside Payne and Allen. With Kerrigan that is going to make a very strong DL. Haskins is going to be a good QB. He started to look better at the end of the year but with another off-season he could improve quite a bit.

I would not sleep on either of these teams.
The East is going to be a lot tougher next year as the Commanders and Giants will most definitely improve even with JG.
Not to mention that our team lost a must win game to a depleted Eagles squad.
Big Mike and the Cowboys are going to find it’s not going to be as easy as it’s been in the past.
