0-4 without Romo. Can they steal one of the 3 remaining?

9-7 is still possible. As long as Giants and Eagles stay around .500 we should be okay. Too bad we finish our season against the Skins.

I think the Bucs game is very winnable and maybe we still one of the other two? You never know. Almost had a chance to steal this one.

0-4 without Romo. Can they steal one of the 3 remaining games with Romo?

Which one?

Seahawks?
Eagles?
Bucs?

I see the winning the Bucs game and when Romo returns they are 3-6.

Anybody see it differently?

My wife thinks 'm a downer because I always think the Cowboys are going to lose, but I think Cassel learned a lot in this game, and that is how respective receivers play. I think Twill was partially responsible for the pick 6 tonight, and maybe even slightly responsible for the pick on the one yard line. If those two guys get on the same page, and it's a bid IF, but good things could happen. McFadden looked pretty good, except the play calling looked week on a lot of his runns.

Where was Beasley today. He is supposed to be the slot man. Witten did his job, God bless him. Jerry needs to give this guy a bonus.

Now, on the pessimist side. The Cowboys could enter the Connor Cook sweepstakes real easily by losing a few more games. That's not all bad.

They can steal all three if they win the turnover battle.

What Cassel needs to learn is that unless TWill is WIDE OPEN, you just don't throw him the ball. It's too risky.

I am a MSU fan (live 60 miles away), however, I just can't convince myself Connor Cook is going to be a particularly good QB in the NFL.

I think his ceiling is Joe Flacco. I guess that's not terrible but I have trouble getting excited about it either.

If we can't win a game before November 22nd then the team should seriously consider shutting down Romo and Bryant for the year. Romo's remaining time is too precious to compromise with a further injury in a lost season. Should Bryant re-injure his foot, then he runs the risk of degrading the integrity of the bone. This is just too much to gamble on the off chance that we can run the table the last two months of the season.

I see two wins there, the Seahawks and the Bucs. Giants always play us tough...the Bucs and the Hawks can be had, possibly Philly too,

It's hard to believe that this season is over. It's absolutely over. I've always tried to not overreact but I have to be honest. I have a very mediocre player as my avatar. Beasley is just not that good. Williams quits on routes and Cassel threw 3 interceptions. SMH. Carr is stealing from the Cowboys. I'm tired of watching him. Gregory gets injured again and I think that's who he is. Escobar is a wasted draft pick. Try Swaim for awhile. He can't be worse. But the real problem with this team is the coaching. I am so done with Garrett. This team continues to commit stupid penalties. I'm so tired of the penalties and they are always at the worst time. Instead of clapping, Maybe he should act like a coach. Linehan continues to call stupid plays. He throws when the team is running over people. The special teams are abysmal and I am blaming the coach for some of that. Crawford had a sack but he's not playing like the money they gave him. The defense played alright but they still get blasted. MCclain gets the penalty and the next play Harris goes for 38 yards. McFadden was the only bright spot. Obviously they don't trust Michael enough or he would of been in after Randle. I didn't miss him out there. Just make McFadden your workhorse. If he gets injured again, who cares? It's just not their year but at least they know where to add some pieces and they'll get some good draft picks because we know they ain't winning without 9. I would just save him for next year.

Nope....this team will not win another game until either Dez or Tony return, not unless another team plays a foolish game and gives it to us.
The Giants were probably the worst defense we will face with injuries at every level. Cassel was not the answer...what a noodle of an arm, and he didn't stand up to any pressure either. If Dez can return, that will open up the offense and the red zone for any QB. Frankly, I think Weeden would have done better today. I was sorry they didn't give him a chance to play another game against a depleted defense. But let's face it; take away a team's true franchise QB and franchise WR if they have them, and they aren't going to win games. We have a top 5 QB and a top 5 WR; when you lose both of those guys at the salaries they command, the other guys aren't going to be talented enough to win football games in the salary cap era unless it's against a team that has a terrible QB situation themselves.

I'm no gloom and doom guy, and I'll continue to enjoy the games and pull for the Cowboys, but 4 games without Romo or Dez have proven what we are....the supporting cast cannot get the job done without them against teams that can score. This season is done. We may beat Tampa Bay if Dez returns by then.

The picks are exactly what I was concerned about with Matt Cassel, and I don't see any good reason to expect that's going to change next week. He's got the courage to take chances downfield, but this is exactly the reason why Weeden didn't. Cassel has a lot more touch on his throws. He's more comfortable in the pocket and at making changes at the line (as he should be with his experience). He can look off a S, and he opens up the play book just by being in there. And then he throws weak passes into coverage and gives up the football, Cowboys lose.

Either way, it doesn't matter. If our defense doesn't take the ball away our our ST tackle better, nobody we've got on the roster we can suit up right now can win for us. This week, we saw the OL play better, all around. The RBs proved that RB wasn't really the problem, after all. But the rest of the team did not step up.

The Giants were the ones getting the turnovers. And the defensive scores. And the ST scores. And they had the better QB to start with. The issue really isn't Weeden or Cassel. We need to play better, all around. Or when Tony comes back, it's just not going to matter.

to beat the bucs, they have to beat the bucs. unfortunately, the bucs aren't going to lay down. they aren't a bad team. they have a lot of fight in them. what do we have? bad backups. i don't see it happening.
