We shut Romo down when it became apparent the season was lost in 2010. He wasn't nearly as battered at that point and we still weren't willing to risk his well being.

SInce 1970, when teams have 200+ yards rushing in a game, and their defense allows 13 points, they are 114-3. Here are the three losses.

1986 Detroit 13 Philadelphia 11
1991 Denver 13 Minnesota 6
2015 NY Giants 27 Dallas 20

It only made sense to bring him back if the team was able to win without him.

Unless he's just completely lost it, Cassell can probably put together one good game out of three. The question then becomes whether the rest of the team will play good/smart on that particular day. He did make plays today...I think his ypa were almost double Weeden's last outing...but the interceptions were killer and the Giants left some of those on the field.

Agreed. I'm not advocating putting him on IR tomorrow. I'm saying we should do this if we haven't won a game by November 22nd.

Every mishap is beyond his control and he's never to blame for any of it. Its always just rotten luck or no coach could win under the "circumstances"

Yeah we still had a chance to win even with his 3 Int's so that is one positive to take from the game

Something isnt adding up here. The Garrett Apologists have told us Garrett has had to rebuild a total roster and has done a tremendous job of it.

They just need to win 1 to give Romo a fighting chance to win the division.

Romo would need to go 6-1 in the remaining games to go 9-7. Difficult but not impossible.

Heck, I think 8-8 coul win the division.

I seriously doubt we'd go 6-1 after Romo returns.

I see the winning the Bucs game and when Romo returns they are 3-6.

Anybody see it differently?

Sadly this is where i once again feel like we are. I felt that way with Weeden before they went to cassel and after i saw how cassel was just off all over the place today i dont see how we win anything other than maybe Tampa before Romo comes back.

I think we have relied on Romo so much that we dont know how to win without him,the decision to bring is Weeden as a backup was the season killer.
