I don't think so, but I'll say this, the Cowboys still have a shot. I knew once Romo went down, that the Cowboys would be lucky to win one game, in fact, the only game I had them winning while he was hurt was the TB game. As we know now, that didn't happen. Now that Romo is back he is expected to play savior, and you know what, he's got a shot. I don't think anybody in this division gets to 8 wins, so that's what the Cowboys will need to do. They will need to win 6 games out of the next 7 and steal the division. Initially I had the GB game as an automatic loss, but I have changed my mind. That will be a tough game, but I wouldn't put an L behind that game as of yet. The games that worry me the most are the two Commander games, and of course the Carolina game. I don't think the Boys can sweep them but they will have to if they want to win the division. The Cowboys can't afford anymore NFC losses and can only afford 1 more loss in my scenario. The season may very well have ended on Sunday, but I'm going to give #9 a shot to see if he can pull off a miracle to get to 8 wins, and I'm not putting it past him.

Ahhhhhh no. 7-9 is about the best this team can muster, they left the fight in Green Bay last January.

Can Romo pass rush, play 1 and 3 technique, play LB, and play some Safety, or even put on the D-coord hat on? I agree with Canada (never thought I'd say that), but 7-9 looks about right.

Me thinks this team will rally when Romo returns.

Dez will no longer take plays off since he knows he'll get the ball.

The D will be re-energized since they know the Offense will be on the field for more than 3 plays.

The OL will be glad to not get bum rushed on every play.

Maxdallasfan will be happy to see some points scored.

If we play many games where the other guys score less than 17 points, we should win those games, I would think.

That's never happened before, but we see crazy things happen in the NFL. 9-7 can win this division.

I am finding it hard to believe that a team that has lost 7 games in a row can now win 7 in a row, Romo or not. Romo is good, but he's not a miracle worker. History has shown that Romo is a much much better QB when he's not being asked to carry the load all by himself. His task coming back is to carry this team by himself.

I hope I'm wrong, but this team beat the Giants at home by 1 point on a miraculous finish with an upright Romo for 4 quarters. The following week, albeit with Bryant out, this team had 6 offensive points through 35+ minutes with Romo in there.

Since then, the defense looks worse especially when it matters most, distractions rear their head every week, and the wheels have nearly completely come off. This team looks DOA.

So you think they can win 5 out of 7 but not 6 out of 7?

Seeing as how we are probably 6-1 with Romo over the last 7 games, with zero breaks going our way, I'm not sure why it wouldn't be realistic. I'm not holding my breath though, since they find new ways to disappoint us every week.

Not for nothing, but these critiques of the defense are pretty bogus.

We lost games giving up 13, 10 and 20 points. The defense has been a bit inconsistent, but it's not like they are giving up 30 points every week.

And the Cowboys have lost scoring 28, 27, and 20 points twice with the backup QB. You could argue they should have won 2-3 of those. Fact is, the Cowboys do exactly what bad teams do. When 1 unit plays well, the other folds like a cheap suit.

When the backup qb has to play extended time, every part of the equation must raise their game - remaining offensive players, the defense, kicking game, coaching. None of that has happened.

Definitely not happening most likely will lose 3 or 4 more games.

I can't knock that opinion, I honestly think the Commanders will get us, and possibly Carolina. GB isn't looking that great but that will still be a tough game, but if they want to win the division, they're going to have to beat those teams.
