If Romo wins 7 in a row and doesn't win the MVP in a landslide I would be done with football!!

Let's go back to 8-8 (probably a stretch now) cause that seems to be our true destiny with Red at the helm...last year might be a anomaly for his coaching tenure.

never say never. i remember a few years ago the titans went 0-6 and then won 7 of their last 8 and didnt get eliminated from the playoffs until week 16. That was with vince young at quarterback so its a shot for us. that would truly be heartbreaking for me though if that happened.

Cowboys will finish 8-8, or 7-9 at worst. Calling it now. We're barely losing all these close games. With Romo back, they will be comfortable victories. And our reaming schedule is pretty easy, especially with Green Bay looking so bad. Cowboys finish strong and Red keeps his job. You know it's coming.

I don't think so, but I'll say this, the Cowboys still have a shot. I knew once Romo went down, that the Cowboys would be lucky to win one game, in fact, the only game I had them winning while he was hurt was the TB game. As we know now, that didn't happen. Now that Romo is back he is expected to play savior, and you know what, he's got a shot. I don't think anybody in this division gets to 8 wins, so that's what the Cowboys will need to do. They will need to win 6 games out of the next 7 and steal the division. Initially I had the GB game as an automatic loss, but I have changed my mind. That will be a tough game, but I wouldn't put an L behind that game as of yet. The games that worry me the most are the two Commander games, and of course the Carolina game. I don't think the Boys can sweep them but they will have to if they want to win the division. The Cowboys can't afford anymore NFC losses and can only afford 1 more loss in my scenario. The season may very well have ended on Sunday, but I'm going to give #9 a shot to see if he can pull off a miracle to get to 8 wins, and I'm not putting it past him.

Bold. That's crazy I don't believe you knew.

I thought 1-2 wins

Not for nothing, but these critiques of the defense are pretty bogus.

We lost games giving up 13, 10 and 20 points. The defense has been a bit inconsistent, but it's not like they are giving up 30 points every week.

i think what burns into our minds and people like me mistakeningly label, is when the defense collapses when the game is onthe line and all theri work goes down the drain in 1 drive.

It's possible, but the 'Skins, Carolina, and Green Bay will be the toughest thorns.

If Romo plays like he's capable of, it will still require other portions of the team to pick up the slack when it matters.

Honestly speaking, i felt the Saints game was winnable. And i honestly thought the team could beat Atlanta, after that, im just pulling false bravado if i say 3 wins was possible, but i honestly felt those 2 teams were beatable.

It's lunacy to think we couldn't get two wins. Yes, you mentioned two very winnable games.

More lunacy.... Win 1 or 2 and we would be right on the thick of this (mess)

Shakes head ....still..... In disbelief

I'm honestly concerned about Tony's health the rest of this season. Tony has seen close up what he means to this team and he's the consummate competitor, I'm concerned he will push too much, hold the ball a little to long, take too many chances. He's gonna try to put this team on his back and he already has a bad back. This team did him absolutely no favors while he was out, just hope he doesn't pay the price.....again.

And just think an 8-8 finish this year would actually be celebrated. I see 4-3, 3-4 the rest of the way, there has to be some rust on Romo like last years opener against SF.

this is why i want to draft a qb or a professional back up qb. Have someone there.

Well looks like the Eagles might get a couple of the losses the Cowboys need to pull off a miracle quickly. Need the Giants to lose at least 3, hopefully four and for the Cowboys to sweep the Commanders, but it's still a possibility. I think 8-8 is the record to win the division for somebody.

and who is to say Romo will come back and not be a little rusty? Or feel some discomfort and miss more time?
Right now, to think this team is going 9-7 or even 8-8, then you have to be thinking that everything is perfect for the rest of the year. Meaning....

No Romo lingering effects from his injury
No coaching mistakes
every player playing up to or near his potential
no questionable officiating calls in a close game

Everything would need to break perfectly to go 6-1. And at that, 8-8 might not be enough. I dont make fun of anyone that still has hope...its what fans do. But I dont have enough faith in the human body healing properly, our coaching staff being good enough, and the players playing up to their abilities every down.

i think the eagles will be a better team with sanchez. I'll bet that if sanchez was brought in here last off season, we wouldnt have been 0-7 without romo. This guy has won playoff games on the road and been to 2 afc championship games. I hope you are right about the losses, but I wouldnt underestimate him. He isnt Brandon Weeden.

And against two teams I had marked for them to win. Imagine back to back losses. 4-7.

Maybe he's not Weeden, but he went 2-4 down the stretch last year with more talent if I'm not mistaken. I don't think he's as good as Bradford as strange as that sounds and hopefully he costs them a game or 2 against opponents they probably should beat.

Superbowl odds right now for the boys are 75-1..... Anyone wanna take a gamble and put some money on the boys?

I remember when the cards won the world series some guy put a bunch of money on them when they were looking bad. He turned out to be a rich man
