Why are people always trying to convince others that Roy is a legit number 1 reciever? The Tampa game will end the Roy honeymoon really quick.

I do not believe you're being truthful.

Lol, ok ok I'm not going to post anymore on this board until after week 1 when Roy doesn't do a damn thing. I cant wait to hear the excuses. "He's still getting to know Romo", "Its still early".

Wish a mod would force the issue.

Please allow me to make one thing perfectly clear.

While I did create a thread which might promote discussion about Dallas' number one receiver, I did not, in any way, attempt to "convince" anyone, who is so genuinely infatuated by Terrell Owens, that he/she would hold so steadfastly onto an avatar of the man who knowingly committed an intentional unsportsmanlike conduct and who refuses to adopt any forum username which doesn't associate himself/herself with a player so infusely involved with his own bloated self-persona...

...months after his departure from the Dallas Cowboys, but please. Keep up the good fight of self-righteous indignation on behalf of your absence football idol. Perhaps he'll twitter you a vote of thanks?

j/k but Seriously though, these type of stats and comparisons are just too biased to be conclusive. It's one's attempt to paint a pretty picture when they want to but you can do something like this using any player in the league if you wanted to just by bending the criteria a little here and there; number of wins, or 4th quarter production, or average this per that.

I mean, just where do Hines Ward and Santonio Holme's season rank in a pie chart of last season? Nowhere, that's where. Theyd didn't even have respectable fantasy football numbers. Yet they won the Super Bowl, Holmes was named SB MVP and did so against probably the best WR duo in the NFL today (ARI/who had huge statistics in the air). Thepoint is, can you get it done when it counts? Can you be dominant when it's needed? Do you perform when your number is called?
That's all Roy has to prove to me. I don't care if his numbers are lofty so long as the catches he makes are the right ones at the right time.
Bold--> These are all fair questions--ones which Roy E. Williams can prove or disprove this upcoming season, but here's the thing. Williams has disproven that he cannot do the job simply by what he has done prior to becoming a Dallas Cowboy. In fact, it's the exact opposite. The main hedge Williams is fighting against is his propensity for injury. That is really his only main drawback in my opinion.

Track Roys history of missing games with most #1 WRs and he is about average. So not really a big deal to me. He was on DETROIT for one thing. Two he had Harrington for the first couple of years. The one time during early 2006 when Detroit was actually almost respectable Roy was lighting things up. Last year he was injured and Romo was injured and we had the TO soap opera so frankly it should be ignored.

:laugh2: I'm gonna laugh at you when he scores and we win in week one while your boy buffalo bill will lose in week 1.

That's not much of a prediction based on our schedules.
