tell you what, i'm actually having a good "adult" convo with some people in here who want to talk rationally, both good and bad, about this team.

i'll stay out of your kiddie-pool of threads if you stay out of the deep end here, deal?

losing always sucks, but the following things make this loss suck more, so deal with it. Quit whining about other people whining. It's even more annoying.

1) We lost to the Giants, a team I hate more than any other
2) We lost to the Giants at home
3) We lost to the Giants in the opening of our new stadium which is even more embarrassing because
4)... we also lost the last game in Texas Stadium, which sucks because it confirms
5)... that we have a lame head coach and will do so for the rest of this season.

what a waste. we killed ourselves with the same stupid bull**** that has plagued us for too long now.

so i can't whine about your whining but you can whine about my whining about your whining?

the madness! you vent your way wonderdude, i'll vent mine.

what I listed were legit reasons for why I hate that we lost this game a little more than I would have against another team on another day. I'm not whining. That's your problem, though. You think anyone who is upset about this loss is whining or overreacting or whatever... and that's just not the case.

we lost the Ring of Honor game (triplets), the closing of the historic Texas Stadium, and the opening of the new stadium with the world watching..

not to mention a 44-6 blowout in a game with playoff implications (Philly last season), again to the Giants at home in the playoffs, need I go on...

There's your reason for why 2-0 is 200 times better than 1-1: confirmation of consistant suckage in big games.

oh, i don't pretend to think that everyone will react the same way. the bulk of my thoughts are that it's stupid to call off a season at 1-1 after a close game and i'm sick and tired of JONES MUST GO mantras from people who bring it up weekly.

i understand the frustation but geezus christ stop the whining about it. i'd hug a mod if they got a dead horse zone and moved that crap into there.

so i wasn't talking to you but that's fine - go ahead and think i was.

A "beat the dead horse" zone. Brilliant!

oh, i've come to find most of the blind homers know who they are and are ok with it. but the term has lost meaning over the years because of our own desire to tag people who don't jump on the whine-train as "blind-homers".

i've said many times where our team is in my mind and the problems they face. i've said plainly they'll be an up and down team this year in search of an identity.

hardly glowing praise is it? does it sound "real" to you?

i just don't get the "OFF WITH THEIR HEAD" mentality that if you disagree we don't need to get that drastic, you're herded into the I LOVE JONES crowd.

there's a million points between black and white that so many people simply bypass to ensure their discussions stay on the extreme where they can understand it and keep yelling.
I believe we will (as we have already) see the same inconsistent performances. Wade has never appeared to be a leader and I think our lack of depth at certain positions will really come into play as the season rolls on. I am realist. I know no other way.

I don't know if its giving up on the season but some are delusional if you think this is a 12-4 team. 9-7 seems right. Romo will be great and awful too. The pass rush does not exist yet and the same poor tackling and penalty problems that plaqued the last few seasons are still evident.

9-7. Im standing by the record.
Take your tired-***** act somewhere else. You completely miss the point of his post. You are so blinded by your "reality" that you can't see the nose in front of your face.

Here's what we know - we are capable of having a fantastic offense. We are also capable of playing good run defense. Our special teams can be fantastic.

Here's what we don't know - are we capable of shoring up against the pass? Can we limit mistakes and turnovers? Will we ever get a pass rush? Will we ever force a turnover?

That's a decent amount of uncertainty - but certainly no cause for alarm...yet.

defense is my bigger concern, so like you, that's what we have to focus on and work to improve. bagging on romo is like taking the low hanging fruit and calling it mission accomplished. : )
