Why don't people understand this?Garrett will never be fired.

Im tryna find any positive from tonight, and this is all I could muster up
There should be no way Garrett returns as head coach if we dont make it to the Championship game.
Get Lincoln in here asap
they always have a built in excuse why they lose face the facts when it comes to playing better teams the cowboys are pretty much losersThat’s a dumb tweet. Bridgewater is a better QB than Rush, and the Superdome is a harder place to win than our stadium.
I also don’t necessarily think Brees would have outplayed Bridgewater tonight. We got beat by fumbles for anybody who paid attention.
I dont know why you have expectations of NFC title game for this team. They were not nearly good enough last year, and there were no major roster upgrades this year. Same players, same results.Im tryna find any positive from tonight, and this is all I could muster up

True. But he also does not need to have his contract renewed either.Garrett will never be fired.
They'd have to lose like 6-7 in a row in terrible fashion for any change to be made. It's not like we got embarrassed tonight. We lost to a good overall team and coaching staff on their field by 2 pts in the 1st quarter of the season.... Poo happens....
^ The two most realistic posts in this thread.Keep dreaming, Garrett will be resigned by the end of the season. Doesn't matter what we think, it is what JJ thinks that matters and to JJ, Garrett is the light at the end of the tunnel!

Anyone should stop, take a breath, each time take THEMSELVES out of Jerry Jones’ shoes and consider what Jones is more likely to do. The most likely thing Jerry Jones will do is retain Garrett. Realistically taking a look back at what did not happen at the end of the 2015 season suggests what will not happen at the end of this season IF there is no NFC championship appearance or win.
Thinking Jones will change his mindset at his age is the real stretch in belief.
Now. About the head coaching wish. It takes two parties to form a partnership. I know very little about Lincoln Riley. Has he been noted for any hard career ambition at the NFL level? Also, has he ever said where he might enjoy coaching the most as a head coach at the pro level? I ask because some people constantly refer to him as a dream candidate for Garrett's job but no one seemingly has a clue what Riley's dream job IS.
If there ever is a bright side to losing this would be it.Im tryna find any positive from tonight, and this is all I could muster up

The facts are that most teams are pretty much losers when they play better teams.
A team with their backup QB and 28th ranked pass defense is better?
let me go on record. I do not want Riley...….Im tryna find any positive from tonight, and this is all I could muster up

Lets see if you can understand it this way.....Read it slowly
The only reason Bridgewater is a backup QB only because of the gruesome leg injury he suffered. He'd still be the Vikings starting QB if it wasn't for that injury.A team with their backup QB and 28th ranked pass defense is better?
Riley is from Texas and Jerry has always seemed to have a fondness from OU players and coaches. Jerry begged these coaches in the offseason to be more creative on offense, so I think he'd be attracted to Riley's philosophy.Might be a dumb question but why is Lincoln Riley always mentioned as a possibility? Does he have any ties to the cowboys/jerry? Why would this be more likely than any other college coach? It seems like jerry prefers to replace coaches internally with people he is familiar with
