btw, he had more false starts than Flozell last year, yet nobody rags on Witten for his stupid mistakes

Probably because Witten had 94 catches for 1,030 yards last year. So it's not like all he does is get false starts. Not saying that is all Flo did, but Flo also had holding penalties. And you can "see" Witten do more than you can see Flo doing something.

Better question would be why isn't Bennett catching more TD's. He's 6'6" athletic TE who doesn't get as much attention from the opposing defense. They should design more plays to get the ball to him in the end zone.

when im watching other teams play, i see so many other, inferior, tight ends getting these tds and great stats when witten never seems get the tds he deserves.

He still puts up the receptions and yards but hes so much better than some of these other TEs who get the opportunities to catch tds but we never seem to give witten those chances. always seems like hes held in to block or romo doesnt look his way.

I know thats a by product of having so many weapons but i love me some witten.

He has to play within the system, if anything he is partially responsible for some of the success that the other weapons have had.

Love Witten but he gets 0 yards after catches now it seems. Seeing him try to run now when he catches it is painful.

Yea he is so agile. Nevermind the fact that if you catch the ball in stride and continue to run that counts as yards after the catch. If Witten catches the ball with his back to the defense he isn't goin anywhere and that is what people are talking about.

Because afterall, all TE's around the league do that on a routine basis right?
