This year, the Cowboys have just 1 win against teams with a winning record: Kansas City.

They've been able to squeak by some bad teams like Oakland and AZ, they have beaten up on some bad teams like Washington, and they have pooped the bed and gotten blown out by teams like Denver, Atlanta, Philly, and the Chargers.

They looked competitive in some of the losses, and obviously, they are a different team with Zeke. If they do get to the playoffs, do you really see them winning a game? I don't.

We were extremely competitive without Sean Lee (our most important player) against the Rams (top 3 seed) and the Packers (4-1 at the time Rodgers went down) and arguably should have won at least 1, if not both of those games.

I think we would more than hold our own and be reenergized if we were to make it into a playoff game.

Well if we get into the playoffs that will mean we waxed off two more teams with winning records riding a prolonged winning streak.
If lee, Irving, Hitchens, and dlaw are out there together with our new look secondary, then yeah we can play with anyone

Just to put names to it, do you think Dallas can win @NO or @LAR?

I like their chances in LA more than NO.

If we get to the playoffs at all, it'll probably be three wins against winning teams, including the last two, so I guess we'll just have to see if we can qualify.

I don't put all that much weight on the end of season records, anyway. There's a lot of volatility within a season. Denver, for example was a lot better than their record now indicates when we played them. PHI, if we beat them in week 17, won't be the same team they were mid-season. Dallas, minus Elliott, Smith, Bailey, and Lee wasn't the same team mid-year that they will be the next few weeks.

If we get a road game v. LAR, I like our chances. I'd like them on the road v. PHI the next week, too, if it worked out that way.

But it will probably be moot, anyway.

Hard to compare games across a season. Too many variables over a season.

We get in and we're healthy we have a chance. I don't see us playing as well as Atl, Philly, MN, or the Saints. We can beat those teams on any given Sunday but they are better.

Keep in mind we are getting our DBs straightened out. Our LBers and DL look better. It's the offense that's the problem right now specifically the receivers. The coaches need to put them into their strengths looking at the entire offense as well.

No Sean Lee for several of the losses. No Ezekiel Elliott for some of the losses. No Tyron Smith (and worse, with Chaz Green) for some of the losses. Younger players on defense are playing more and have more NFL game experience now.

I am not saying the Cowboys have the best team in the NFC by any means, and even if they get into the playoffs, it's still going to be tough for them to beat good teams, but there's a big difference between the teams that were on the field for some of those losses and the one that is on the field now.

If Dallas gets in, they’d be on an incredible winning streak with a couple good wins against teams with winning records. In the NFL, it’s all about getting hot at the right time and Dallas would be smoking hot at that point. I like their chances against anyone in that situation...

We have an awesome pass rush the moment Irving comes back, the coverage is significantly improved, and with Zeke we have a top offense.

Smith, Brown, Frazier Taco, Lewis, Woods, and Awuzie are all playing at a much higher level than they were the first half of the season. Health is obviously key but we get Tyron and Irving back healthy and we can hang with anyone.
